What is the Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon?
Q392845J is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s stainless-steel version of the Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon. The Reverso’s reversible case lets the wearer turn the watch to view its second display. Jaeger-LeCoultre says the Duoface concept dates to 1994, with local time on the front and home time on the reverse. The two displays are served by one calibre, rather than two independent movements.
The steel model measures 45.5 × 27.4 mm, according to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s official Q392845J product page. The case combines the familiar reversible format with a high complication, so the watch’s interest lies as much in how its two faces are arranged as in the tourbillon itself.
What does each side display?
Front: local time and an open view of the tourbillon
The front has a grey sunrayed dial for local time. The tourbillon is visible through the open design, making the regulating mechanism part of the face rather than hiding it beneath a conventional dial.

Reverse: a second time zone with contrasting decoration
The reverse displays a second time zone, intended for home time, and contrasts with the front through partial open-working and Clous de Paris guilloché. Jaeger-LeCoultre says the reverse decoration involves 232 lines, each engraved six times—1,392 engraving gestures in total. That figure describes the maker’s stated decorative process, not an independently observed production measurement.
How does the thin flying-tourbillon movement work?
Jaeger-LeCoultre identifies the movement as in-house calibre 847AA. It is hand-wound, measures 3.9 mm thick, and provides a 38-hour power reserve. The brand lists 254 components and 31 jewels, with a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz.
The maker describes the tourbillon as a flying design without an upper bridge. Its account says the outer cage is replaced by a peripheral ball-bearing system, and that this arrangement, together with an S-shaped balance spring, enables the compact architecture. These are Jaeger-LeCoultre’s descriptions of its construction; they should not be mistaken for an independent engineering assessment.
Jaeger-LeCoultre says the tourbillon is assembled by hand in its Grandes Complications workshop. The brand gives it 62 components and a weight of less than 0.5 grams. Those figures are manufacturer-reported specifications, not independent measurements.

Is the pink-gold version discontinued?
The pink-gold reference Q392242J is labeled out of the current collection on Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Indian regional product page. The steel Q392845J page remains accessible, but its presence online is not confirmation of local inventory.
