The Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin 250 is a commemorative watch whose reported dial design makes the Declaration of Independence part of the artwork: the text is printed tone-on-tone on a beige dial, with “1776–2026” and “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” picked out in red. Retailer and watch-publication accounts describe a 25-piece edition for the Americas marking the United States’ 250th anniversary. Those details are not confirmed on an official Laurent Ferrier page for this edition, and this is not a hands-on review.
What is the Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin 250?
It is a limited-edition version of the Classic Origin described by Exquisite Timepieces as a 25-piece release dedicated to the Americas and commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The anniversary falls in 2026, 250 years after the Declaration was adopted in 1776. The edition size and dedication are retailer-reported; the official Laurent Ferrier page located for this article covers a related white-dial Classic Origin, not the 250.
The idea is more specific than adding an anniversary emblem to a standard dial. The reported design puts the Declaration’s text directly into the dial’s surface, so the watch’s commemorative subject is embedded in its visual treatment. Exquisite Timepieces lists the watch under reference LCF036.T1.B2G1. See the retailer’s Classic Origin 250 listing; confirm the edition and reference with Laurent Ferrier or a verified seller.
How does the Declaration-inspired dial work?
Exquisite Timepieces describes an opaline beige dial with a subtly patinated appearance. The Declaration of Independence is printed tone-on-tone in beige, while “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” and “1776–2026” appear in red. Stevie Watches additionally calls attention to red calligraphic initials representing the thirteen original colonies. These details frame the watch’s historical reference through text, color and typography rather than a prominent flag motif.

Watch Collecting Lifestyle says the Declaration text becomes gradually visible as light changes across the dial. That is a publication’s description of the visual effect, not an independent assessment of legibility in varied conditions. The tone-on-tone treatment is central to the design, but the available accounts do not establish how easily the text can be read at a glance.
Case, movement and what is confirmed
Exquisite Timepieces reports a 40 mm Grade 5 titanium case for the 250 and identifies the hand-wound LF116.01 calibre. Laurent Ferrier’s official page for the related white-dial Classic Origin specifies that same calibre and an 80-hour power reserve, alongside an 11.10 mm thickness and 30 m water resistance. Because that official specification page is for another variant, those latter figures—and the reserve in particular—should not be treated as independently confirmed specifications for the 250 without checking the exact reference.

What is the price, and where can it be purchased?
Exquisite Timepieces lists the Classic Origin 250 at $44,000 and invites prospective buyers to request more information. The product page does not state the year for that price, so it should be treated as a listed figure rather than a verified current offer. The page establishes a retailer listing and inquiry route; it does not by itself confirm stock, authorized-seller status or availability from Laurent Ferrier. Ask the seller to confirm the current price, availability and sales terms before proceeding.

What is known about Laurent Ferrier’s connection to American collectors?
Watch Collecting Lifestyle connects American enthusiasts with Laurent Ferrier’s early history. That is the publication’s account; the sources available here do not independently corroborate the historical details. It offers one possible context for a release dedicated to the Americas, but the anniversary and dial design remain the edition’s clearest documented themes.
