Laurent Ferrier announced the Classic and Square Micro-Rotor Evergreen watches on March 27, 2023. Both feature deep-green vertically brushed dials and the brand’s automatic FBN 229.01 micro-rotor movement. The launch announcement described a range that included steel and gold versions; the official product pages consulted now show a red-gold Classic and a white-gold Square, each displaying a price of CHF 77,000 and an inquiry option.
What is the Laurent Ferrier Evergreen?
Evergreen is the name Laurent Ferrier gave to a pair of green-dial watches: the round Classic Micro-Rotor Evergreen and the cushion-shaped Square Micro-Rotor Evergreen. The brand announced them on March 27, 2023, describing both as part of a collection built around a deep-green dial with a vertical satin-brush finish. The announcement also described stainless-steel and gold versions, so its launch-era range should not be confused with the models and materials shown on the official product pages today.

What changed between the 2023 announcement and current listings?
The launch article described the Classic in 18-carat red gold and the Square in stainless steel, while also presenting the Evergreen as a range with steel and gold versions. The official product pages consulted now list the Classic in 18k red gold and the Square in 18k white gold. These are different source contexts and dates: the 2023 announcement describes the launch, whereas the current pages show the specific configurations listed there now. They do not establish the full current assortment or whether every launch configuration remains available.
Launch-era prices also differ from today’s page display. Monochrome Watches reported prices of CHF 47,500 with a pin buckle and CHF 49,000 with a folding clasp for steel versions, and CHF 57,500 with a pin buckle and CHF 60,500 with a folding clasp for 18k red-gold versions. Those are historical, variant-specific figures reported around the 2023 launch, not current prices. The official product pages consulted display CHF 77,000 for each watch.

What is inside the FBN 229.01?
Both current product pages identify the FBN 229.01 as an automatic movement with a pawl-fitted micro-rotor and a stated 72-hour power reserve. Laurent Ferrier’s product listings specify 186 components, 35 jewels, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), a 31.60 mm diameter and a thickness of 4.35 mm. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements.
In its 2023 announcement, the brand described a unidirectional ratchet-type micro-rotor and a silicon natural escapement. It said the escapement delivers a double direct impulse to the balance, restarting it twice per oscillation, and that the movement was designed, assembled and adjusted in its workshops. These are Laurent Ferrier’s descriptions of its movement, rather than independently tested performance findings.

What are the cases and straps like?
The Classic pairs its 40 mm round red-gold case with a ball-shaped crown; the Square has a 41 mm by 41 mm cushion-shaped white-gold case. Both are 11.10 mm thick in the current listings. The 2023 announcement described sapphire exhibition casebacks and 30 m water resistance for the watches. The current product pages also list 30 m / 3 ATM water resistance.
Current listings specify brown calf-leather straps with Alcantara lining, and a pin buckle or folding clasp in matching precious metal. The pages list these details as product specifications; they do not establish which configuration is in stock in a particular location.

Both official product pages display CHF 77,000 and provide an inquiry route. Laurent Ferrier’s Evergreen collection page says prospective buyers can provide their location to be directed to nearby places to see the collection. Use the brand’s inquiry route to ask about local viewing options, the current configuration and a market-specific quote; the displayed price alone does not confirm availability.
