Two owner accounts and a 2023 hands-on review offer useful impressions—not a controlled reliability study or a guarantee that it will suit every wrist.
Which Aqua Terra Worldtimer is this review about?
The name covers several configurations, so specifications and owner impressions need to stay attached to the exact watch discussed. OMEGA’s product sheet for the blue-dial steel-bracelet reference 220.10.43.22.03.001 lists a 43 mm case, 50.30 mm lug-to-lug length, 14.12 mm thickness, 21 mm between the lugs and an approximate total weight of 163 g. It also specifies calibre 8938, a 60-hour power reserve, magnetic resistance to 15,000 gauss and water resistance of 15 bar (150 m / 500 ft). The sheet describes a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides and a butterfly clasp. These are specifications for that reference, not necessarily every Worldtimer variant. OMEGA product sheet

OMEGA’s 16 May 2023 announcement introduced a titanium version and two steel versions. The steel models have green PVD dials and green ceramic bezels, with a steel bracelet or integrated green rubber strap. The titanium model pairs a black-and-grey laser-ablated dial with a black ceramic bezel and black rubber strap. OMEGA specifies calibre 8938 and 15-bar water resistance for the models in that release. OMEGA’s 2023 announcement
How useful is the world-time display?
The central image is a map of Earth viewed from above the North Pole. OMEGA says it is laser-ablated onto grade 5 titanium. Around it, a 24-hour ring beneath Hesalite glass indicates the time across day and night. City names around the dial provide the reference points; London is marked in red for UTC. In practical terms, the ring and city scale let the wearer compare the time in other listed locations with the local time. Sfwatchlover’s 2022 owner review describes aligning the moving 24-hour ring with the fixed cities and says the local hour hand on that owner’s watch could jump when changing time zones. That is one owner’s description, not a substitute for the instructions for a particular reference. Check the relevant manual before setting the watch; no step-by-step setting procedure is established here. Sfwatchlover’s 2022 review
This is a useful complication if you regularly think about time in multiple cities, but it is also a visually prominent one. The map, city names and 24-hour scale give the watch much of its character, while making the dial busier than a conventional three-hand Aqua Terra.

What do long-term owners say?
Two years with a steel-bracelet watch
Sfwatchlover says they bought a steel Worldtimer on 30 July 2020 and wrote after two full years of ownership. They praised its construction and dial, found it useful while travelling and at home, and reported consistent timing. Their timegrapher reading was +2.3 seconds per day: one owner’s measurement, not a model-wide accuracy figure. Sfwatchlover’s 2022 review
The same owner identified two practical drawbacks: no quick-set date and no bracelet micro-adjustment. Those details describe that owner’s experience and configuration; they should not be treated as a complete account of every reference or as a current assessment of all bracelet versions.

A little over one year with a Worldtimer
A Reddit post matching the requested review topic describes a little over a year of ownership. Its writer praises the dial and strap comfort, but calls the complication niche and says the roughly 43 mm by 14 mm case can be difficult for many wrists. The post also discusses bracelet weight and possible scratching. These are observations from one unverified community account, not established outcomes for owners generally. Reddit owner post
Taken together, the accounts point to an appealing combination of visual presence and travel utility, with fit and bracelet adjustment as meaningful trade-offs. They do not establish a failure rate, service interval or population-wide reliability record; no independent named population statistic or controlled long-term reliability study is available in the cited sources.

How do steel, rubber and titanium change the experience?

|---|---|---|---|
| Green steel on rubber | Approximately 120 g | Green, visually prominent dial; reviewer found the rubber strap pleasant and sturdy. | €11,600 |
| Green steel on bracelet | Approximately 160 g | Reviewer criticized the polished center links and one-way butterfly clasp. | €11,800 |
| Titanium on rubber | Approximately 93 g | Black-and-grey scheme struck the reviewer as calmer; the lighter watch felt more comfortable to them. | €13,500 |
Fratello’s reviewer said the 43 mm steel watch felt large on their 17 cm wrist, while the lighter titanium version felt more comfortable to them. That is a useful try-on signal, not a wrist-size rule: wrist shape, strap fit and personal tolerance for a large watch all matter. Fratello’s 2023 hands-on review

What should you check before choosing one?
- How it sits on your wrist: Try the watch on if possible, paying attention to the 50.30 mm lug-to-lug span and 14.12 mm thickness listed for the blue steel-bracelet reference. Those measurements help explain why a 43 mm diameter alone may not tell the whole fit story.
- Bracelet or rubber: The bracelet adds weight, and owners or reviewers have flagged limited adjustment at the clasp. Rubber changes the feel and reduces the reviewer-reported weight in the 2023 comparisons.
- Steel or titanium: Steel has the more colorful green treatment in the 2023 versions; titanium uses a black-and-grey dial and was lighter in Fratello’s comparison. Choose based on how the watch looks and feels to you, rather than assuming either material will fit better for everyone.
- Exact reference and configuration: Confirm the dial, strap or bracelet, clasp and specifications for the particular watch. Do not assume dimensions or other product-sheet details for the blue reference automatically apply to a different variation.
- How often you will use the complication: Consider whether comparing city times is valuable enough to you to live with a dense, highly distinctive dial every day.
Who is the Worldtimer for?
The Aqua Terra Worldtimer makes the most sense for someone who likes a large, detailed dial and will enjoy either its city-time display or its distinctive map even when not travelling. The owner accounts offer encouraging impressions of construction, visual appeal and everyday enjoyment, but also make clear that case size, weight and bracelet adjustment can shape the experience. Treat those reports as individual evidence, and decide fit by trying the exact configuration you are considering.
