What the 190th Anniversary collection includes
Longines announced the trio on 13 September 2022 to mark its 190th anniversary. The collection pairs classical Breguet-style numerals with contemporary dial textures. Longines described the watches as “a worthy heir to the brand’s know-how”; that is the company’s characterization, not an independent assessment.

All three are 40 mm across and 9.35 mm thick, with polished cases, sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating, transparent commemorative casebacks and alligator straps. They have three hands and no date display. Monochrome Watches reported water resistance of 30 m.

The figures below are historical launch prices reported in 2022. They are not current retail prices or resale estimates.

Hodinkee reported the U.S. prices and Monochrome Watches reported the Swiss-franc prices in September 2022. The steel version was the least expensive at launch and was not limited; each gold version had a stated production limit of 190 pieces. That production limit does not establish a particular resale value.
A Longines U.S. listing accessed on 8 October 2026 shows $2,700 for a Master Collection watch carrying reference L2.793.4.73.2, but describes an opaline ivory dial. It does not confirm the current price or availability of the anniversary watch with its silver-colored, sandblasted dial. Current anniversary-edition retail and secondary-market prices are not established here; check the exact dial and reference in current authorized-retailer or resale listings.

Dial, numerals and hands: the hands-on details
Stainless steel: L2.793.4.73.2
The steel model has a sandblasted silver-colored dial, engraved Arabic numerals and blued leaf-shaped hands. The numerals are engraved rather than applied or printed, giving the dial a contrast between its textured surface and classical numeral forms.
Yellow gold: L2.793.6.73.2
The yellow-gold version replaces the steel model’s dial treatment with a vertically brushed grey dial. Its engraved numerals are gold-filled, and the hands are treated to match the case metal.

Rose gold: L2.793.8.73.2
The rose-gold model uses a grained anthracite dial, also with gold-filled engraved numerals and metal-matched hands. Monochrome Watches’ Rebecca Doulton called the combination of matte, textured dials and classical engraved Breguet-style numerals an “unusual mix” and said it worked particularly well on the rose-gold version. That is her design judgment, rather than a claim about measured performance or fit.
Movement and specifications
Each watch is powered by the automatic L888.5, based on ETA A31.L11. Monochrome Watches and Hodinkee report a silicon balance spring, a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour, 21 jewels and a stated power reserve of up to 72 hours. Those are published specifications; the cited coverage does not provide independent accuracy testing.

Hodinkee contributor Logan Baker praised the proportions but said he would have preferred a 36 mm or 38 mm case. That is an attributed preference, not a conclusion about how the 40 mm case will fit an individual wrist.
