What is the Louis Erard × Monica Bonvicini “Not For You”?
It is Louis Erard’s third artist-watch collaboration with Monica Bonvicini, presented for the 14th edition of Art Genève. WatchTime also reported its unveiling at the event in February 2026. The watch combines a conventional hours-and-minutes display with a prominent text-based artwork, making its visual statement central to the design rather than a detail on the dial.
What does “Not For You” mean on the watch?
The dial is black Clous de Paris guilloché, with a central black mirror-polished “not for you” appliqué. Rhodium-plated hands provide the time display. The phrase appears again beneath the see-through case back, in mirror-polished metallic letters.
Louis Erard says the phrase “’not for you’ is a bold statement. It challenges us to reflect on our relationship with others.” WatchTime connects it to Bonvicini’s text-based work, reporting that she has used the slogan since 2006 in neon, mirror and metal works to question power, exclusion and self-reflection. That is WatchTime’s interpretation of the work’s context, not a separate statement of the artist’s intent.

WatchTime reports that the SW261-1 runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a skeletonized rotor with a black-lacquered Louis Erard symbol. The manufacturer specifies hours and minutes; this is a deliberately simple two-hand display rather than a watch with additional complications.
Price, availability and edition size
Louis Erard lists the watch at CHF 3,900 excluding tax and states that 178 pieces were made. When the manufacturer page was accessed on October 8, 2026, it displayed an add-to-cart option and an estimated delivery time of 5–10 days. These are changeable listing details, not a guarantee of current stock or delivery timing.

There is a minor published price discrepancy: Fratello’s opening excerpt says CHF 3,990 before taxes, while its detailed specifications give CHF 3,900. Louis Erard’s listing and WatchTime report CHF 3,900, so that is the price stated here.

This watch’s main distinction is the assertive artwork, not technical complexity. Before deciding whether it suits you, weigh the slogan-forward design against your taste for more conventional dials, and consider the 39 mm diameter alongside the independently reported 45.9 mm lug-to-lug length and 12.82 mm thickness. The movement supplies automatic hours and minutes with an approximately 38-hour reserve; the stated water resistance is 5 bar. Also check whether the supplied strap sizes work for your wrist and whether the limited edition remains available at the listed price.
