Louis Vuitton has added five Escale watches to its permanent collection, bringing back the Worldtime and expanding the Twin Zone alongside a new Minute Repeater. Announced on February 5, 2026, the lineup comprises two Worldtime models, two Twin Zone versions and one Minute Repeater, built around four new calibres, according to Louis Vuitton Japan.
What the five-watch Escale release includes
The new models are best understood as three ways to handle time: a 24-zone reference, two independently tracked zones, and an audible time signal. The two Worldtime watches share the 24-zone idea; the Twin Zone comes in rose gold and a platinum high-jewellery edition; and the Minute Repeater is the sound-focused piece.

These are functional and craft distinctions, not a performance ranking. Louis Vuitton’s announcement describes all five as permanent additions and says the collection’s 2026 expansion follows a 2024 renewal focused on time display; that chronology and framing are the brand’s account.
How the Worldtime watches show the time around the world
Escale Worldtime
The platinum Escale Worldtime uses the new automatic LFT VO 12.01 calibre to display 24 time zones. A blue centre dial sits within a ring of city flags, each painted by hand. Louis Vuitton says the miniature-painted dial takes one week to complete and uses 35 paint colours, applied individually with drying between applications.

Escale Worldtime Tourbillon
The Tourbillon version adds a central flying tourbillon shaped as a Monogram Flower and uses grand feu enamel for its city disc. Louis Vuitton’s US description confirms the 24-zone display, enamel disc and flying tourbillon. The brand says making the enamel dial takes two weeks, or 80 hours: more than 40 firings across five layers at 730°C–840°C. Those are Louis Vuitton’s production figures, not independent measurements.
The choice is between a hand-painted city ring and an enamel city disc with a tourbillon at the centre. Both retain the 24-zone function; the added tourbillon and enamel work distinguish the more elaborate interpretation.

How the Twin Zone shows two time zones
The Twin Zone places four hands on a single axis. Its extra minute hand adjusts independently, so a wearer can set a second time zone even when the offset is not a whole number of hours. Louis Vuitton specifically describes 15- and 30-minute adjustment increments for fractional offsets.
That makes the Twin Zone different from a conventional setup limited to shifting a second hour hand in whole-hour steps. It is intended for following two locations with a precise local offset, rather than reading a ring of many cities at once. The collection offers the complication in rose gold and in a platinum high-jewellery edition.

The platinum high-jewellery version
The high-jewellery model pairs a platinum case with an aventurine dial and diamonds. Louis Vuitton’s Japanese release lists 120 baguette diamonds around the dial centre, 170 baguette diamonds on the case band and 11 on the folding buckle. The counts are the brand’s figures.

The Escale Minute Repeater combines an audible striking complication with a jumping hour and retrograde minute display. The manual-wind LFT SO 13.01 calibre powers these functions; Louis Vuitton’s US description confirms the in-house manual calibre and display arrangement. The activation slide is integrated into the lug design, rather than presented as a separate conventional slide along the case flank.

Louis Vuitton says the guilloché dial takes 60 hours to make and that assembly and finishing of the LFT SO 13.01 calibre take four weeks or more. These timings describe the brand’s stated craft process, not a measure of acoustic quality or timekeeping performance.
Why this is more than a dial refresh
The announcement represents a shift in the Escale lineup’s functions as well as its decoration: Worldtime returns, Twin Zone gains a fractional-offset approach, and the Minute Repeater joins the range. Four new calibres underpin the five models, according to Louis Vuitton Japan. Hand painting, layered enamel, gem setting and guilloché give the functions different craft expressions, while the repeater adds a sound-making mechanism to the line.

Louis Vuitton watch division director Jean Arnault described the release as an extension of a transformation pursued over four years and said the Twin Zone complication builds on an earlier version from ten years ago. That statement is translated from the Japanese release; it is not presented there as an English-original quotation.
What is not yet clear from the announcement
The cited announcement and official US pages establish the models and several functions and craft details, but do not state launch prices, region-by-region availability, or complete specifications and reference numbers for every variant. Product-page presence alone does not establish stock or a seller’s authorization. The release also does not provide independent movement testing or comparative performance results.
