The 2023 Louis Vuitton Tambour Fiery Heart Automata, reference Q1EBSY, turns a floral dial into a mechanical scene: press the pusher at 8 o’clock and thorns rise around the time display, enamel roses spin, flames circle a heart, and its doors open to reveal “Sweet but Fierce.” The spectacle is driven by an automatic movement with a flying tourbillon—not by a video or digital display.
What happens when you press the pusher?
The animation is the Fiery Heart’s defining feature. According to the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), the pusher at 8 o’clock activates seven animations. Thorns emerge around the hours-and-minutes subdial, the flowers at the centers of the enamel roses rotate, and flames move around the heart. The heart then opens to show the words “Sweet but Fierce.” A flying tourbillon is visible at 6 o’clock.
Louis Vuitton’s 2023 presentation described the dial as blooming into animation at the push of a button. The choreography makes the time display part of the scene: the thorns frame the subdial, while the heart provides the final reveal.
How the watch is built
The Q1EBSY combines decorative dial work with a mechanical movement and a tourbillon. The figures below are published specifications from FHH and Swisswatches Magazine; they are not independent measurements.

FHH characterizes the Fiery Heart as one of Louis Vuitton’s most complex watches to date. That is a brand-specific description, not a claim that it is the most complex automaton watch overall. Louis Vuitton’s broader account of automata places the craft in a tradition that runs from clock-tower figures striking the hours to decorative figures miniaturized for watches.
What did it cost, and can you buy one now?
Two 2023 articles reported different historical prices: Swisswatches Magazine gave €420,000, while Time+Tide Watches reported US$370,000. These are separate reports in different currencies, not a current price or a directly comparable conversion.
The current Louis Vuitton US automata listing reviewed for this article displays Arty and Bushido models, but not Fiery Heart. That listing alone does not establish that the Q1EBSY is discontinued or unavailable through a client advisor. A current authorized price and availability by market have not been established.

The Fiery Heart is a 2023, model-specific Tambour automaton; it should not be conflated with Louis Vuitton’s Arty, Bushido, or Galactique automata. Its particular combination, as described by FHH, is an automatic LFT 325 movement, a flying tourbillon, and seven dial animations. To compare automata meaningfully, look at what the animation indicates or reveals, the number and choreography of moving elements, movement type and power reserve, case size and materials, dial craft, and what the maker discloses about price and availability.
