“Luminox Jolly Roger” can refer to two distinct limited releases: the Jolly Roger 3800 Series, documented in a 2019 Luminox booklet, or the Navy SEAL 3050 Series Pirates Watch announced in 2025. They differ in case material, size, water resistance, movement and strap, so identify the series before comparing specifications or checking a listing.
Which Luminox Jolly Roger watch do you mean?
The name does not identify one exact reference. Luminox’s 2019 booklet describes a Jolly Roger 3800 Series Limited Edition. In a separate announcement dated August 26, 2025, the brand introduced the Navy SEAL 3050 Series Pirates Watch, a later release inspired by the Jolly Roger. The manufacturer materials establish two editions, not a direct revision of one model into the other.

What is the Jolly Roger 3800 Series?
The 3800 is the release explicitly titled “Jolly Roger 3800 Series” in Luminox’s booklet. It pairs a 46 mm CARBONOX+ case with a red genuine-rubber strap, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a rotating bezel. The booklet specifies 30 ATM water resistance, a Ronda 715.LI movement and 16 LLT tubes.

Luminox describes this edition as 750 units worldwide and says each is numbered on the caseback. Those details identify the edition; they do not establish whether a particular watch is genuine or currently available.
What is the 3050 Series Pirates Watch?
The later Pirates Watch is a separate Navy SEAL 3050 Series special edition. Luminox’s August 2025 announcement gives it a 44 mm stainless-steel case, a CARBONOX unidirectional bezel, water resistance up to 200 m, a Ronda 515 quartz movement and a Velcro fast strap. The announcement also describes Luminox Light Technology and a Jolly Roger insignia at 9 o’clock coated in Super-LumiNova. It states a worldwide edition of 888 pieces.
Rank #2
- The stylish watch from Luminox is a real eye-catcher and can be worn with any outfit
- The black dial is protected by high-quality mineral glass
- The 12 mm thick plastic housing has a diameter of 45 mm
- The high-quality black plastic strap with the pin buckle fits comfortably on the wrist
- The watch has a water resistance of 10 bar (suitable for swimming and snorkelling)
Do not apply these details to the 3800, or carry the 3800’s 750-piece count, red rubber strap or 30 ATM rating over to the 3050. Luminox’s product announcement identifies each as its own release; it does not say the 3050 is a replacement or updated version of the 3800.
How does the Jolly Roger fit Luminox’s Navy SEAL history?
The Jolly Roger editions sit within the broader Navy SEAL watch story, but neither should be confused with the original 3000 Series. Luminox’s Original Navy SEAL collection page says the 3000 Series debuted in 1994 and recounts a collaboration involving Chief Nick North. A separate brand history, Navy SEAL: The Evolution of an Icon, places the relationship’s beginning in 1992 and describes later 3050, 3500, 3580 and Heritage series. These are Luminox’s own historical accounts; their stated starting dates differ, so they should be attributed to the pages rather than collapsed into one definitive date.

- Its iconic "turtle shape" makes the Leatherback Sea Turtle series more than just reminiscent of its namesake. Its functionality on and underwater also make it live up to its name making it an exceptional timepiece for on and off water use.
How to identify a listing for either edition
Search broadly for “Luminox Jolly Roger,” then confirm whether the listing names the 3800 Series or the Navy SEAL 3050 Series Pirates Watch. Match the reference and physical details against the corresponding manufacturer specifications rather than relying on a generic Jolly Roger label.
- For a claimed 3800, check the caseback for the edition numbering described in the booklet and compare the listing’s case, strap and specifications with the 3800 details above.
- For a claimed 3050 Pirates Watch, compare its case, bezel, movement and strap with Luminox’s 2025 announcement.
- Check the seller, condition and included packaging or papers; these materials alone do not authenticate an individual watch.
- Confirm that any replacement strap is compatible with the exact reference and attachment system before buying it.
The manufacturer sources establish the announced designs and specifications, but not present-day stock, resale prices or the authenticity of an individual seller’s listing. Treat an edition count as a release detail, not evidence that a watch remains available.
