LVMH became a Global Partner of Formula 1 in 2025 under a 10-year agreement, announced on October 2, 2024. TAG Heuer is one of the participating LVMH Maisons and Formula 1’s Official Timekeeper—not the group-level partner. The deal also gives Louis Vuitton and Moët Hennessy distinct roles across race events and celebrations.
What is the LVMH and Formula 1 deal?
Formula 1 announced the partnership on October 2, 2024. The agreement began in 2025 and runs for 10 years. At the group level, LVMH is Formula 1’s Global Partner; the announcement named Louis Vuitton, Moët Hennessy and TAG Heuer as participating Maisons. Formula 1’s announcement said further details would follow in early 2025.
The distinction matters: TAG Heuer is not the sole partner named in the deal. Its defined Formula 1 role is Official Timekeeper, while the agreement encompasses multiple LVMH brands and activations.
What does each LVMH Maison do in Formula 1?

These roles are not interchangeable or necessarily present at every race. Formula 1 and LVMH describe the individual activations separately. Is TAG Heuer the official F1 timekeeper?
Yes. TAG Heuer returned as Formula 1’s Official Timekeeper for the 2025 season. Formula 1 announced the role on January 6, 2025, describing it as a return to a position TAG Heuer had held previously. The announcement establishes the timekeeping role; the broader partnership listing also names TAG Heuer’s Formula 1 watch collection. When the partnership was announced, Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said: “Our sport is founded on the relentless pursuit of excellence, a value that also lies at the heart of LVMH, so I am delighted to announce this historic partnership will begin in 2025.” Frédéric Arnault, identified in the announcement as CEO of LVMH Watches, said: “In recent years, Formula 1 has truly become one of the most desirable sports in the world.” Both statements appeared in Formula 1’s October 2, 2024 announcement.
