Jean Arnault has selected François-Henry Bennahmias, Audemars Piguet’s former chief executive, as a consultant for Hublot, according to a report published by Glitz Paris on 15 October 2026. The appointment is unexpected, and neither Hublot nor LVMH has publicly detailed Bennahmias’s mandate, start date or contract length in the sources currently available.

The group has also described a strategy of closer coordination among its watch maisons. In a 2025 LVMH release, Group Managing Director Stéphane Bianchi said: “Under the leadership of Frédéric Arnault, the Watches Division has undertaken a significant transformation, including the implementation of operational synergies between the Group’s watchmaking Maisons, and substantial work on the positioning and challenges of each of them.”

What could Bennahmias be expected to do?
The public evidence supports only a limited conclusion: he is being brought in as an adviser. The contemporaneous Glitz Paris report explicitly presents the reasoning as a matter of internal speculation. Possible areas such as brand positioning, product direction, distribution or organizational advice should therefore be treated as open questions rather than confirmed responsibilities.
For readers tracking executive changes, the distinction between consultant and operating chief is important. A consultant may provide strategic guidance without controlling budgets, signing off products or replacing the maison’s CEO. Until LVMH, Hublot or Bennahmias publishes a fuller brief, there is no reliable basis for assigning him a specific decision-making power.

Hublot’s official news page records the Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition as unveiled during LVMH Watch Week on 19 January 2026. Its existence shows that product development and launches continue during the leadership speculation, but the announcement does not connect the watch to Bennahmias or describe any role he played in its creation.
