Its specifications make it a substantial, purpose-built diver; whether it is the right buy depends on your preference for an automatic movement, its listed dimensions and the current price in your market. The available evidence is manufacturer and official-retailer information, not independent testing, so this is a specification-led review rather than a hands-on verdict.
What the Jeep Rubicon GSAR is
Marathon and Jeep introduced the collaboration on May 9, 2024. The launch announcement describes the collection as reflecting “the resilient spirit of both companies” and their shared military roots and functional designs. The 41mm automatic model is called the 41MM Jeep Rubicon GSAR in that announcement, which gives reference WW194006SS-4101. Marathon’s UK product page identifies its listing as SKU WW194006-4101; those are the source-specific identifiers, and they should not be treated as identical reference strings.
The design draws on the Willys MB and the modern Wrangler Rubicon. On the GSAR, Marathon repurposes the red bezel marking as a 15-minute count-up indicator inspired by Jeep dashboard instruments. The case side carries an engraved Jeep grille, and the crown has a Willys star.
Specifications and what they mean
| Specification | Marathon’s stated detail |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 41mm |
| Thickness | 14mm |
| Lug-to-lug | 48mm |
| Lug width | 20mm |
| Movement | Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic, with Incabloc shock protection |
| Water resistance | 300m |
| Bezel | Oversized 60-minute, 120-click unidirectional bezel |
| Illumination | Tritium gas tubes and MaraGlo illumination |
| Included strap | OD green three-piece rubber strap kit |
These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured results. The 48mm lug-to-lug measurement is useful context alongside the 41mm diameter when judging potential fit, but dimensions alone cannot establish how the case will feel on a particular wrist. The 20mm lug width identifies the stated strap width; check the watch’s connection and fit details before choosing an aftermarket replacement.

- Luminous markers and hour hands; sweep second hand
- Anti-reverse bezel
- Water-resistant to 200 M (660 feet)
Automatic movement
The SW200-1 is the mechanical automatic option in this collaboration’s diver pair. It winds through wrist motion and can also be wound manually, unlike the quartz movement in the Rubicon TSAR. Marathon lists Incabloc shock protection but the cited product information does not provide an independently measured accuracy result.
Bezel and illumination
The one-way bezel is marked for 60 minutes and advances in 120 clicks. The red segment’s 15-minute count-up treatment is the Jeep-specific visual reference. Marathon also specifies tritium tubes and MaraGlo; that description establishes the intended illumination system, not a comparative or laboratory lume result.

How it compares with other Jeep x Marathon models
The most direct alternative is the Rubicon TSAR, which is the quartz diver in the launch lineup. The Willys SSGPM and SSGPQ are field-style mechanical and quartz models, respectively, rather than divers. The launch announcement’s US prices were launch prices from May 2024, not current quotes:
| Model | Movement / style stated in the launch lineup | US launch price (May 2024) |
|---|---|---|
| Rubicon GSAR, 41mm | Automatic diver | $1,500 |
| Rubicon TSAR, 41mm | Quartz diver | $1,200 |
| Willys SSGPM, 41mm | Mechanical field watch | $650 |
| Willys SSGPQ, 41mm | Quartz field watch | $500 |
For a diver who wants an automatic, the GSAR is the relevant choice between the two Rubicons; someone who prefers quartz and wants the same collaboration’s diver can consider the TSAR. The launch material does not provide enough complete specifications to make a broader performance or feature ranking across all four models.

Price, availability and warranty context
Price depends on market and date. The Jeep/Marathon launch announcement listed the GSAR at $1,500 USD in May 2024. Marathon’s UK product page displayed £1,935 including taxes and fees when checked; a separate regional listing showed $2,100 USD. These are distinct market listings, not a single worldwide price. Verify the live listing and applicable tax treatment for your location before buying. Marathon UK’s product summary states a two-year warranty; check the current terms for your market and purchase channel.

On paper, the GSAR is a clear fit for a buyer seeking a 41mm automatic diver with substantial stated water resistance, a one-way timing bezel and the Jeep-specific design touches. Its official listing also gives the dimensions and included strap, which help assess whether the package suits your intended wear.

The main trade-offs are the automatic-versus-quartz preference and the market-specific asking price. The official information does not establish real-world accuracy, comfort, durability or performance, so those questions require independent evidence. Compare the live cost with the quartz Rubicon TSAR and consider whether the automatic movement and GSAR design details are worth the difference to you.
