Is it a limited-edition COSC chronometer?
The available official listing does not establish that reference M040.407.33.027.00 is limited edition or COSC-certified. MIDO’s chronometer category describes its chronometer watches as COSC-certified, but the retrieved category listing does not include this Powerwind reference. That omission does not rule out a separate historical or regional edition; it means the “Chronometer Limited” wording cannot be confirmed for the listed reference from these official pages.

The listed configuration pairs a 40 mm case with a champagne dial, day-date display, and an automatic movement rated for up to 80 hours of reserve. Its 5 bar water-resistance rating is a useful specification to check against your intended wear; it should not be confused with a diving-watch rating. For a purchase comparison, verify the exact reference, case dimensions, certification, water resistance, warranty, and regional price rather than relying on “Chronometer Limited” as a description.
