The 2025 MONTA Triumph V2 grows to a 40 mm case and raises its published water-resistance rating to 200 m, while retaining the 47 mm lug-to-lug length reported for the original. It also adds crown guards and uses MONTA’s automatic M-22 caliber, based on the Sellita SW300. The figures below come from launch coverage and are reported specifications, not independent measurements.
What changed from the original Triumph?
MONTA introduced the original Triumph in 2017. In its October 2025 coverage, Hodinkee reported the original at 38.5 mm across and 150 m water resistance; the V2 is 40 mm and rated to 200 m. The V2 also adds crown guards and keeps the reported 47 mm lug-to-lug length. Its launch configuration has a black Opalin dial with applied markers, Arabic numerals at 3 and 9, and a date window at 6. Hodinkee’s introduction and Time+Tide’s October 2025 coverage describe the revised case and higher rating.
Dimensions and fit
Hodinkee reported a 40 mm steel case and 10.7 mm thickness in 2025. Time+Tide reported the same diameter and thickness, plus a 47 mm lug-to-lug measurement and 20 mm lug width. The unchanged lug-to-lug figure is useful context: the V2 is wider than the original, but its reported length from one end of the case to the other has not increased.
Those measurements do not establish a universal wrist-size cutoff. Wrist shape, bracelet sizing, and personal preference all affect how a watch wears. The launch configuration described in the coverage pairs the black dial with a three-link steel bracelet; Time+Tide reports a deployant clasp with micro-adjustment.

Movement and functions
The V2 uses MONTA caliber M-22, described by Hodinkee as based on the Sellita SW300 and by Time+Tide as a modified SW300. Both publications report a 56-hour power reserve; Time+Tide also reports a 4 Hz frequency. The movement provides automatic winding, hours, minutes, seconds, and a date display. These are published specifications, not independent measurements of accuracy or reserve.
Water resistance and care
The 200 m figure is the V2’s published water-resistance rating; it is not a guarantee for every activity or a substitute for following the manufacturer’s instructions. MONTA says a stopped automatic watch can be manually wound by unscrewing the crown and turning it 20–30 times before setting the time and date. For cleaning, it recommends a cloth or soapy water and a soft brush. The company directs owners to return the watch to MONTA for service and says unauthorized third-party work voids the warranty.
Launch price and buying context
Hodinkee and Time+Tide reported historical October 2025 launch pricing of $1,550 for the first 100 preorder pieces and $1,850 as the regular bracelet price. Those are launch figures, not verified current prices. Current stock, pricing, and delivery timing are not established here; check MONTA’s official watch listings for current availability.

MONTA describes its articulating bracelet as 316L steel with fully articulating links and says watches bought directly from the company carry a two-year international warranty. These are manufacturer claims; check the current warranty terms and the sales channel, particularly for retailer or resale purchases. MONTA also says its watches are assembled in Switzerland by trained watchmakers. The company’s design page provides its own descriptions of the bracelet and assembly.
