The Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Moonphase is a restrained 2014 dress watch with a shared date-and-moonphase subdial, a 39 mm case, and no seconds hand. In foversta’s hands-on review, its strongest appeal was the classic dial and balanced proportions; the main compromise was a comparatively quiet display, alongside movement finishing the reviewer described as basic.
What the 2014 hands-on review describes
In an April 4, 2014 review for WatchProSite, foversta, a PuristSPro Moderator, writes about handling five watches from the Heritage collection. The observations below are that reviewer’s impressions and reported specifications, not a current product listing or independent verification.

The watch has a white-to-silver-colored, domed (bombé) dial with a sunray finish, applied hour indexes, dauphine hands, and a prominent applied XII. Curved lugs and a domed sapphire crystal contribute to its traditional profile. Foversta characterized the design as quiet and timeless rather than bold, with Montblanc details kept subtle.
As the reviewer put it, “The great asset of the Heritage collection is its timeless design which manages to combine very traditional aesthetic details with very shy and subtle Montblanc reminders.”

Case size and wrist impression
Foversta gives the case dimensions as 39 mm in diameter and 10.24 mm thick. Those figures come from the 2014 secondary-source review; a current official specification for this exact model was not established. The reviewer felt the diameter and thickness worked well together on the wrist, describing a sense of balance and classic charm. That is a subjective hands-on assessment, not a claim that the watch will fit every wrist the same way.
How the date and moonphase are displayed
The date and moonphase share a larger subdial, while the central hands indicate hours and minutes. The review does not identify a seconds hand: its absence is one of the clearest practical trade-offs for anyone who prefers a visibly moving seconds display. Foversta was direct about that limitation: “So if you like animated dial, forget it.”

- Montblanc Heritage Automatic Watch 119943
The reviewer compared this layout with the Heritage Perpetual Calendar, whose smaller subdial module seemed undersized for its case. In foversta’s view, the Moonphase’s combined date-and-moonphase display made for a more balanced dial. The 2014 review also characterized the Moonphase as more affordable than the Perpetual Calendar, but gave no price that can be treated as current.
Movement and finishing
Foversta describes a Sellita movement powering a Dubois-Dépraz module, without naming a precise caliber. The reviewer called the movement finishing basic. This is a description of the architecture and finishing in that 2014 review, not confirmation of a current caliber specification.

The review is not a complete technical specification. It does not establish water resistance, power reserve, accuracy, crystal treatment, reference number, or service interval. Montblanc’s general service guide for an “Automatic Moonphase with correctors” includes model-family-specific correction guidance, but the surfaced guide does not identify this Meisterstück Heritage model. Do not assume its adjustment steps apply to this watch; check the correct model documentation or ask a qualified watchmaker.
Is it the same as the Star Legacy Moonphase?
No. Montblanc’s surfaced Star Legacy Moonphase 42 mm is a separate model. Its stated MB 24.31 movement, 42 mm case, and 5 bar/50 m water resistance belong to that Star Legacy watch and should not be transferred to the Meisterstück Heritage Moonphase.
