The Moritz Grossmann TREMBLAGE is a manually wound Glashütte watch distinguished by a German-silver dial engraved by hand using the historic tremblage technique. Its published specification pairs a 41 mm case with calibre 100.1 and a 42-hour power reserve. This is a specification-led review, not a physical hands-on assessment: wearing comfort, winding feel, legibility and timekeeping performance have not been independently tested here.
What makes the TREMBLAGE dial distinctive?
The dial is the watch’s defining feature. Moritz Grossmann says the classic TREMBLAGE uses German silver, a material with a silver-like appearance rather than sterling silver. Its surface is engraved by hand using tremblage, a historic technique in which the engraver guides a cutter through tiny back-and-forth movements. On classic versions, the hour numerals and small-seconds circle stand above the textured dial surface. The manufacturer characterizes the overall treatment as vintage-inspired; how the texture looks in person depends on viewing conditions and has not been independently assessed here.
How does the winding and restart control work?
The watch uses manufacture calibre 100.1, which is wound by hand. The crown winds the movement and sets the time. During time-setting, the stop-seconds function halts the seconds hand; after setting, a lateral pusher restarts the movement. The maker calls this a manual-winding mechanism with a pusher. The specification explains the sequence, but not how the controls feel in use.

What is inside calibre 100.1?
Moritz Grossmann lists the following specifications for the classic TREMBLAGE:
- Manual winding; adjusted in five positions
- 198 parts and 20 jewels, three of them in screwed gold chatons
- Lever escapement and a 14.2 mm Grossmann balance
- 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour
- 42-hour power reserve when fully wound
The reserve is the manufacturer’s published figure, not a measured result. The brand also highlights a 2/3 plate with untreated German-silver frame pillars, hand-engraved plate and balance and escape-wheel cocks, a grained train bridge, three-band snailing on the ratchet wheel, raised gold chatons with pan-head screws, and a separately removable clutch winding mechanism. These are useful details to look for through the display back, rather than claims of personal inspection.

How large is the case, and what is known about fit?
The published case measures 41.0 mm in diameter and 11.35 mm in height. The movement measures 36.4 mm by 5.0 mm. The case is three-part and offered in precious metal or stainless steel, depending on configuration; the watch has a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on one side. Strap and buckle materials also vary: the maker lists a hand-stitched alligator strap with a precious-metal or steel buckle according to variant.
Those dimensions do not establish how the watch will sit on a particular wrist. The published material does not give lug-to-lug length, strap width or a wrist-size range, and no wearing assessment is available here. It also does not establish a water-resistance rating.

Which TREMBLAGE versions are available?
The classic collection includes rose-gold, stainless-steel, Green rose-gold and Green white-gold configurations, according to the official boutique listing. The Green version uses a green-finished tremblage surface. A June 2025 press sheet describes its rose- or white-gold case options and confirms the same calibre family and core performance figures as the classic model; configuration details should be checked against the specific watch being considered. The manufacturer’s press page carries the Green release material.
Do not confuse the classic collection with the separate 2026 TREMBLAGE Gold anniversary release. That edition has a solid 750/000 rose-gold tremblage dial, platinum or rose-gold case options and eight examples worldwide in each configuration, according to the official TREMBLAGE Gold page. The manufacturer retains calibre 100.1 specifications for that special release, but its dial material and limited status are specific to it.

The 2026 BACKPAGE Tremblage is a different watch, not another case variant of the classic TREMBLAGE. It has a large dial opening that exposes much of the movement and uses calibre 107.0 rather than 100.1. The maker said its 200th-birthday edition would be presented on 19 May 2026. What this specification-led review can—and cannot—establish
The manufacturer’s published material supports a detailed account of the dial technique, movement architecture, controls, dimensions and listed configurations. It does not establish independent accuracy results, real-world power reserve, durability, wearing comfort or the tactile quality of the pusher and crown. Those judgments require direct testing. For the same reason, the published dimensions should not be treated as a substitute for trying the watch on.
