These are manufacturer-published specifications, not results from an independent wear, water-resistance or accuracy test. Mühle notes in its instruction manual that specifications may change without notice.
Will the 43 mm titanium case fit?
For fit, consider all three listed dimensions: 43.0 mm across, 13.0 mm high and 52.1 mm from lug to lug. The long lug-to-lug measurement can make the watch feel broad on a smaller wrist even when the diameter seems manageable. Compare those measurements with a watch you already find comfortable, and check whether its lug ends sit within your wrist rather than overhanging.
Titanium is the case material, but the cited product specifications do not give a weight. Mühle’s launch article describes the titanium case as particularly light and biocompatible; that is the manufacturer’s characterization, not a measured weight or a guarantee of how any individual wearer will respond to the material.

Dial readability and construction
The watch has a black dial, luminous hands and indices, and a black ceramic bezel. Mühle says the recessed markers and the triangles at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock carry luminous material to support nighttime readability. It also says the minute/second scale can be read to an eighth of a second. These are design and performance descriptions from the manufacturer, not independently verified legibility findings.
The crystal is listed as 2.5 mm sapphire with double anti-reflective coating. A screw-down titanium crown is part of the published construction. Those details describe the watch; they do not replace checking the crown is secured and the watch is in suitable condition before exposure to water.

Movement, date and power reserve
The automatic SW400-1 in Mühle version includes stop-seconds, which halts the seconds hand when setting the time, and a quick-set date. The stated power reserve is up to 41 hours. That figure is the manufacturer’s maximum specification, not an independently measured result; if the watch stops after being unworn, it will need winding and resetting before use.
What does the 50-bar rating mean?
Mühle lists water resistance as up to 50 bar. Treat that as a published rating, not proof that this particular watch has passed an independent test or will remain water-resistant indefinitely. Water resistance depends on the condition of seals and crown, among other factors, so arrange inspection if the watch has been damaged or serviced, or if its condition is uncertain. Choose a watch based on the water activity you actually plan, and confirm the manufacturer’s current guidance for that use.

The standard listing pairs the watch with a 22 mm rubber strap, a titanium folding clasp and an extension. Check strap width and clasp compatibility before budgeting for alternatives or replacement straps; the cited product information does not establish replacement availability or pricing.
Mühle’s launch article describes a standard case-back engraving depicting the German coastline and locations connected to the sea-rescue organization and the manufactory. It separately identifies a launch series of 63 individually engraved “Unikat 2022” watches. Do not assume the regular M1-51-03-400-KB carries one of those unique rescue-boat engravings.

Warranty and servicing
Mühle’s instruction manual states: “For any defects we grant a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase.” The warranty statement is from the manufacturer; verify the current warranty document and any regional or seller-specific conditions before purchase.
In its FAQ, Mühle says a watch can be brought or mailed to the manufactory for professional service, or handed in through a local retailer. The company asks customers to contact the manufactory in advance for an in-person service visit. Its FAQ phrases the service question as “Who can service my Mühle wristwatch?” Check the current instructions and retailer options for your location.
Is the S.A.R. Mission-Timer TITAN worth the price?
Whether it is worth €2,990 depends on how well its specific package fits your priorities. The strongest reasons to consider it are the titanium case, ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal, automatic movement with quick-set date and stop-seconds, rubber strap with folding clasp, and the unusually useful published fit dimensions. The main practical checks are its 52.1 mm lug-to-lug span, the 41-hour maximum reserve, your intended water use, and the current local price and service arrangements.
Compare it against alternatives using the same criteria rather than diameter alone: case height and lug-to-lug, material and wrist feel, movement functions and reserve, water-resistance rating, strap and clasp, price, warranty and service access. The specifications above help establish what Mühle lists; they do not establish comparative performance or value against an untested competing watch.
