Nero Biglia is a leather watch-strap brand whose Amarcord, Eleganza and Far Niente collections were reviewed by Balazs Ferenczi for Fratello Watches in March 2020. The review distinguishes the lines by leather texture, color and finish, and reports options such as several lug widths, strap lengths and quick-release spring bars. It is a useful snapshot of the designs at that time—not confirmation of what the brand sells or charges today.
What is Nero Biglia?
In his March 28, 2020 review for Fratello Watches, Balazs Ferenczi described Nero Biglia as an Italian company founded in 2019 by Stefano, who had come from Italy and was then living in Budapest. The review said the straps were handmade in northern Italy using vegetable-tanned hides from Tuscan tanneries. Those are claims reported in the 2020 article; they do not establish the brand’s current ownership, production, or sourcing.
Ferenczi looked at three collections: Amarcord, Eleganza and Far Niente. His article is a product review with personal impressions, not a controlled comparison or independent materials assessment.

Fit and compatibility: what to check
The 2020 article gives Amarcord width choices of 18, 19 and 20 mm and says that regular and small lengths were available. It does not provide a complete sizing chart or establish the dimensions of every collection. Before choosing a replacement strap, check the watch’s lug width and the strap length that fits your wrist.
- Lug width: Measure the distance between the inside edges of the watch’s lugs, or consult the watch manufacturer’s specifications. Choose a strap that matches this width.
- Length: Compare the strap’s stated length with a strap that currently fits you; “small” and “regular” are not precise measurements by themselves.
- Quick release: The review mentions quick-release spring bars for Amarcord. Confirm that the option is available for the specific strap and that the spring bars suit your watch.
- Buckle: Check buckle and strap compatibility if you plan to reuse your watch’s existing buckle; the reviewed Amarcord included a steel buckle.
What did the reviewer think?
Ferenczi’s assessment was positive: he wrote, “These straps are beautiful.” He also considered the price fair in light of the materials and handmade production he described, the included buckle and the quick-release option. That is one reviewer’s subjective judgment; the article does not report comparative wear testing or measured durability.
