What makes the Two-Tone different
Rather than dividing the watch into contrasting halves, Piaget uses two gold colors across the case and integrated bracelet: broad brushed white-gold surfaces are punctuated by polished yellow-gold gadroons. The launch description also specifies a solid-gold dial. That contrast puts the Polo’s signature relief at the center of the design. Europa Star’s January 2026 republication of Piaget’s press release describes the arrangement as a revival of an original Polo configuration.
The construction is gold, not a gold-colored coating: Piaget’s release identifies the case, bracelet, gadroons, and dial as gold components. The official collection page lists the Two-Tone alongside white-gold and yellow-gold Polo 79 variants. Piaget’s collection page calls this a 2026 edition and connects it to the 1979 configuration.
How it relates to the original and other Polo 79 editions
The Polo debuted in 1979 with an integrated-bracelet design. Yves Piaget’s description of the original, quoted in the release, was “a bracelet watch and a watch bracelet.” The Two-Tone carries that integrated form forward while changing the visual effect through its white- and yellow-gold finishes.

In the modern Polo 79 sequence described by Europa Star, a yellow-gold edition appeared in 2024, a white-gold edition followed in 2025, and the Two-Tone arrived in 2026. The supported distinction is material and finish: the earlier modern versions use a single gold color, while this edition combines brushed white gold with polished yellow-gold gadroons. Piaget says the full-gold Polo 79 was named “Iconic watch of the year” at the 2024 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève; that recognition applies to the 2024 model, not the 2026 Two-Tone.

Movement and practical specifications
The 1200P1 is a mechanical micro-rotor movement, with the rotor integrated into the movement rather than added as a full-height component above it. Piaget lists its thickness as 2.35 mm; Fratello reports a 44-hour approximate power reserve, 25 jewels, and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. Those additional figures are Fratello’s reporting, not details confirmed on the official Piaget page.

Fratello identifies the Two-Tone as reference G0A51150 and reported a price of €96,000 including 21% VAT on January 28, 2026. That is a dated, VAT-inclusive price report for a particular market; it should not be read as a current worldwide price or a quote for every region.
