The Trilobe Une Folle Journée Rhodium-Plated Green is an automatic watch that displays the time with rotating rings instead of conventional central hands. Announced on 19 March 2025 as one of three rhodium-plated editions, it pairs a green dial-side design with a stainless-steel case and the brand’s X-Centric micro-rotor movement. What is different about the green rhodium-plated edition?
Trilobe announced the green version on 19 March 2025 alongside blue and black rhodium-plated Une Folle Journée editions. The company describes green as a new color for the model and says the rhodium-plated bridges reveal more of the movement’s architecture. The case is 316L stainless steel; the green treatment and brighter movement finish are the distinguishing details highlighted for this edition. Read the launch announcement.

How does the watch tell time?
Instead of placing three hands around a central dial, the X-Centric display uses rotating rings and fixed indicators to show hours, minutes and seconds. Reading it requires following the indicators against the moving rings, so the presentation is intentionally less conventional than a standard hand display.
The X-Centric is an automatic mechanical calibre designed and developed for Trilobe. A micro-rotor winds the movement without the larger conventional rotor typically visible through a movement opening. Trilobe lists a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), 33 functional jewels and 196 components. Its stated power reserve is 48 hours. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently tested figures.

All technical figures in the table are from Trilobe’s collection page. The 17.8 mm figure includes the tall sapphire dome, so it is not a measure of the case body alone. A 5 bar rating is the maker’s stated tested rating; it should not be read as a guarantee that the watch is suitable for every water activity.
How large is it on the wrist?
The 40.5 mm diameter gives the case a moderate width on paper, while the 48 mm lug-to-lug measurement helps describe how far it spans across the wrist. The 17.8 mm total height is the more unusual dimension, with the domed sapphire included. As with any watch, wrist shape and the way the strap sits affect perceived fit; the published measurements alone cannot determine comfort.

The 20 mm lug width is a useful starting point when considering a replacement strap, but nominal width does not establish that every strap end or buckle will fit this case.
