Monochrome Watches reported it as a 100-piece-per-colorway release in 2023. Its 40 mm case and 47 mm lug-to-lug are moderate on paper, though the domed sapphire crystal brings the reported overall height to about 14.5 mm.
What makes the VM1S.101 different?
Released for Nezumi’s tenth anniversary, the VM1S.101 was the first Voiture to use a Swiss-made mechanical movement, according to Monochrome Watches’ 19 January 2023 report. Earlier Voiture chronographs used Seiko mecha-quartz movements. The VM1S.101 is therefore a distinct, historical model rather than simply another dial variant of the current quartz-powered watches.
Its off-white dial is paired with graphite registers and a contrasting orange central chronograph hand. The layout includes three subdials, applied luminous markers and a fixed tachymeter bezel. Pump-style pushers and a Jubilee-style steel bracelet reinforce the period motorsport character. Monochrome’s reviewer described the design as visually familiar and robust; those are the reviewer’s impressions, not independent durability findings.
Is the VM1S.101 automatic or manual?
It is manually wound. The watch uses a Sellita SW510-Mb, a no-date chronograph movement reported as having 23 jewels. You wind it by hand rather than relying on a rotor to wind it as you wear it. That makes winding part of the ownership routine and gives it a different feel from an automatic chronograph.

What about its power reserve?
The published figures conflict. Monochrome’s article says 58 hours in its narrative but lists 38 hours in its technical specifications; OPUMO also reports 58 hours. The available model-specific coverage does not resolve the discrepancy, so neither figure should be treated as confirmed.

The 40 mm diameter and 47 mm lug-to-lug provide a useful first estimate of its footprint, but wrist shape and fit preference matter. The domed crystal adds roughly 1.9 mm to the reported case height, which can change how the watch sits beneath a cuff. OPUMO’s reviewer considered it a better fit for thicker wrists; that is a subjective assessment, not a sizing rule.

The stated water-resistance rating is 5 ATM / 50 m. That figure is a specification, not a recommendation to swim or dive with a particular watch; check the condition and service history of any pre-owned example before exposing it to water.
Will a 20 mm strap fit?
The VM1S.101 is specified with a 20 mm lug width, so a strap made for 20 mm lugs is a reasonable starting point. That measurement does not guarantee that a particular bracelet’s end links will fit the case. Nezumi’s current Colin 2.1 bracelet is listed for the VQ2, VQ3 and VQ4 families, not specifically for the VM1S.101. Confirm reference compatibility and end-link fit with the seller before ordering.

Nezumi’s current accessories collection includes leather rally straps, canvas, FKM rubber and metal bracelets. Availability can change; check the current listing and verify the attachment type and fit for the exact watch.
Is the VM1S.101 still available?
It is not listed in the current Nezumi collection pages reviewed, which feature newer Voiture references such as the automatic VM2 and the VQ4 mecha-quartz model. That makes the VM1S.101 a historical limited release, not a model with confirmed current official stock. Monochrome reported 100 pieces per colorway, but that edition quantity does not establish whether any are currently for sale or what one should cost now.

Monochrome reported an original listed retail price of EUR 1,587 in 2023. This is historical launch pricing, not a current retail quote or an indication of resale value. No present-day secondary-market price is established here.
What should a pre-owned buyer check?
- Ask Nezumi whether it can advise on service for the individual watch, and request service documentation from the seller.
- Check the case, crystal, pushers, chronograph operation and bracelet condition in person or through detailed, verifiable photographs.
- Confirm whether the bracelet or any replacement strap is the correct fit for this reference rather than relying on lug width alone.
- Do not assume the original warranty transfers. Nezumi’s current support page describes a two-year limited warranty for manufacturing defects for the original purchaser and says resold watches are not covered.
How does it compare with current Voiture models?
Current Voiture watches share some of the VM1S.101’s compact motorsport design language, but they are not mechanically identical substitutes. Nezumi’s VQ4.101 is a 40 mm mecha-quartz chronograph using a Seiko VK63 movement, with a listed 47 mm lug-to-lug, 20 mm lug width and 5 ATM rating. The newer VM2 is described by Nezumi as an automatic chronograph with different movement and construction. Check the individual reference’s specifications before comparing fit, movement or price.
