NOVE’s Trident Automatic G002-02 is self-winding: NOVE specifies a Swiss Ronda R150 automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve. The company also lists water resistance of 200 m / 660 ft. Those are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. This is the Automatic model; the original NOVE Trident is a quartz watch.
Which NOVE Trident is self-winding?
The name covers distinct watches. NOVE’s current G002-02 Trident Automatic uses an automatic movement. By contrast, NOVE says the original Trident uses a Swiss Ronda 1062 Slimtech quartz movement. A quartz movement is not self-winding, so the title’s description applies to the Automatic, not every watch called Trident. NOVE’s Trident background page gives the original model’s details.

The figures below are specifications published by NOVE on its G002-02 product page, accessed in 2026; they are not independent test findings.

How to read the water-resistance claim
NOVE lists the G002-02 at 200 m / 660 ft, but the available product information does not establish independent testing or certification. That rating alone should not be treated as proof that this particular watch is suitable for a specific dive. The original quartz Trident is also listed by NOVE at 200 m / 660 ft, but it is a separate model; its other construction details should not be assumed to apply to the Automatic.

The thickness figures need clarification
NOVE’s G002-02 page calls the case “Ultra Slim 6.3mm Case” in one place, while its feature summary lists “Thickness – 13.5mm.” Those figures are not consistent as presented, so neither should be treated as an unambiguous overall thickness. NOVE’s separate G003-02 page gives different measurements for that model—6.8 mm outer case and 13.05 mm overall thickness—and those figures do not resolve the G002-02 discrepancy.
How the Automatic differs from the original Trident
NOVE’s background page describes the original Trident as a quartz model with a Ronda 1062 Slimtech movement, 6.8 mm thickness, sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and unidirectional bezel, plus a stated 200 m / 660 ft water-resistance rating. These are claims about the original quartz Trident, not specifications to transfer to the G002-02 Automatic. NOVE’s pages provide product descriptions rather than an independent side-by-side test.
