NOWATCH announced the NOWATCH B on June 16, 2026, at HLTH Europe in Amsterdam. It has an analog watch face and health sensors, but no digital display: detailed readings and trends live in a companion phone app. That makes it a premium, screen-free wellness tracker with a watch-like design—not a conventional smartwatch without a screen.
The trade is straightforward: fewer wrist interruptions, but no messages, apps, calls, live workout metrics or on-watch data. The U.S. store currently lists the B at $449–$499, so buyers are paying a premium for that quieter interaction model as well as the tracking features.
What NOWATCH launched, and what it costs
The NOWATCH B is the Amsterdam-based company’s second product it calls an “Awareable,” following the NOWATCH X. NOWATCH announced it at HLTH Europe 2026 on June 16, describing it as available through the company rather than as a future prototype. Its U.S. store lists three finishes:
| NOWATCH B finish | Listed U.S. price |
|---|---|
| Silver | $449 |
| Matte Black | $479 |
| Gold | $499 |
These are the model-specific prices shown on the NOWATCH U.S. store; availability, shipping and prices can change. The launch announcement gives conflicting starting-price figures—$449 in one passage and $499 in its availability FAQ—so the live store’s finish-by-finish listings are the clearer guide. NOWATCH says it ships to the United States, Canada, the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom; check the store for current eligibility and delivery terms.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The B comes in 36 mm and 42 mm face sizes and is listed at approximately 10.9 mm thick and 50 g. NOWATCH offers Silver, Matte Black and Gold finishes. Its shop describes the watch as “swim proof,” while the product page uses “water-resistant”; the materials cited here do not establish a depth rating. Do not treat either phrase as permission for diving or other high-pressure water exposure. The B uses Panda glass, while NOWATCH lists sapphire glass on higher-end X models. See the NOWATCH watch shop for current specifications and availability.
What NOWATCH means by “Awareable”
“Awareable” is NOWATCH’s brand term, not a standard smartwatch category. The company uses it for a wearable intended to monitor physiological signals and prompt awareness without a screen full of notifications, scores or gamified feedback. NOWATCH’s description of the category—and its “world’s first” positioning—is company language, not an independently established industry designation.
The B still has sensors, Bluetooth-connected phone software and limited vibration feedback. Its distinction is not that it has no digital interaction; it is that the wrist is not a place to read or navigate digital information. NOWATCH’s launch announcement describes that screen-free approach as central to the product.
What it tracks—and what “stress” means here
NOWATCH says the B tracks heart rate, heart-rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, heart-rate zones, skin temperature, steps, movement, activity and sleep duration and stages. It also advertises female cycle patterns and stress-related outputs through its Reactivity Monitor. Those features combine sensor readings with software interpretations; they are not all direct measurements of the same kind.

The Reactivity Monitor
NOWATCH says its Reactivity Monitor analyzes physiological changes associated with daily demands and presents stress duration, frequency, recovery and cumulative load. The app can display labels such as “High Load,” “Delayed Recovery” or “Resilient.” These are the company’s interpretations of signals, not a direct reading of a person’s emotional state or a diagnosis.
A heightened physiological response can have many possible associations, including exercise, illness, caffeine, excitement, anxiety, heat or poor sleep. The monitor may help a wearer notice patterns, but the watch cannot establish which factor caused a response. Treat its stress and recovery outputs as prompts for reflection, not proof of a particular feeling or health condition. NOWATCH markets its sensor stack as “research-grade,” but the available evidence does not independently establish that every advertised metric is research-grade or clinically validated.
How the screenless design works in everyday use
The B’s analog face is fixed: it does not turn into a digital display. The watch can give gentle vibration prompts, while the companion app is where users see readings, trends, insights, settings, check-ins and connection or battery information. That means no glancing at the wrist for a live heart rate or workout screen; for meaningful data review, the phone is essential.
NOWATCH’s support guide says the crown can be pressed to log a check-in, and pressing it twice can start an activity. The same physical simplicity has a cost: accidental double presses can start an activity, while people accustomed to watch menus may find controls less self-explanatory. The NOWATCH guide to the app’s Now screen explains its live snapshot, check-ins, connection status and battery display.

- What the design removes: wrist notifications, app browsing, calls, messages, on-watch scores and visual prompts to check the time or data.
- What it does not remove: the phone app, Bluetooth syncing, charging, setup and occasional troubleshooting.
- What the wearer gets instead: passive tracking, an analog watch appearance and limited vibration feedback.
For someone trying to stop reacting to wrist alerts, that may be the point. For someone who wants workout guidance, payments, navigation, music controls or quick access to information, a blank wrist display is a limitation, not a feature.
Battery life, charging and missing data
NOWATCH advertises up to five days of battery life and a full recharge in about two hours. Its support documentation gives a more useful expected range of three to five days, depending on use. This is not a multi-week tracker, and independent hands-on coverage reported that battery life was less impressive than expected for a screenless device. NOWATCH’s NOWATCH B product page gives its advertised battery and charging figures.
NOWATCH support identifies Raw Data Collection and an accidentally started activity as possible causes of faster battery drain. Because double-pressing the crown can start an activity, check whether one is still running if battery life is unexpectedly short. The company’s battery-drain troubleshooting guide lists these and other checks.
Getting overnight data into the app
Sleep data may not appear until the app is opened in the morning and synchronization completes. NOWATCH’s guidance points to several common causes of gaps: the watch was not worn, it was disconnected, or a full day passed without wearing it. For a missing night, try this sequence:

- Charge the watch before bed and wear it with proper skin contact overnight.
- After waking, open the NOWATCH app and leave the Now screen open while it syncs.
- If the data remains missing, check the watch’s connection status, Bluetooth and app permissions.
The company’s sleep-data troubleshooting guide covers these steps. A screenless design does not make syncing invisible or automatic in every circumstance; the phone app remains part of the daily routine.
What independent hands-on coverage found
In a two-week hands-on, T3 praised the traditional-watch appearance and quiet background monitoring, but reported inconsistent sleep tracking, slow syncing and battery life that fell short of expectations for a screenless wearable. These are findings from one review period, not a controlled comparison of every unit or metric, but they matter because sleep data, syncing and battery are central to the B’s everyday proposition.
U.S. App Store reviews include praise for the appearance and low-distraction concept alongside complaints about app complexity, unclear controls, difficulty corroborating stress analyses and app maturity. Those reviews are anecdotal rather than controlled tests, but they signal that the software experience may be a weaker part of the package than the watch’s simple exterior.

The app is necessary to see the data. The U.S. App Store listing requires iOS 17 or later and identifies the developer as NOWATCH B.V. The listing says the app may use location in the background, which can affect phone battery life. NOWATCH onboarding points Android users to Google Play, but the information cited here does not establish a current minimum Android version; confirm device compatibility in the relevant app listing before buying.

NOWATCH says core app and data access do not require a subscription or paywall. The company also says users own and can download their health data, that it does not sell or distribute data to third parties, that optional server storage uses EU-based infrastructure, and that AI features are opt-in. These are company statements, not an independent privacy audit. The U.S. App Store listing separately discloses that contact information and identifiers may be collected and linked to the user, while health and fitness data may be collected but not linked, according to the developer’s disclosure. No subscription and no sale of data should not be mistaken for no collection or processing of personal information; review NOWATCH’s current privacy policy and app disclosures before deciding what to share.
How it compares with other wearable types
NOWATCH B’s real competition depends on what a buyer wants from a wearable. It is not a like-for-like replacement for a full smartwatch or sports watch. The table compares the use cases indicated by the products’ stated positioning; it does not rank tracking accuracy.
| Option | Better suited to | Key trade-off versus NOWATCH B |
|---|---|---|
| NOWATCH B | People who want an analog watch appearance, screen-free tracking and vibration prompts without a required subscription for core app access. | Phone required for data; no apps, calls, notifications, built-in GPS or live metrics on the wrist. |
| Apple Watch | People who want apps, messages, calls, workouts, navigation and ecosystem integration. | Offers conventional smartwatch functions that NOWATCH omits; a wrist display is a poor fit for someone deliberately avoiding screens and alerts. NOWATCH’s own comparison also frames Apple Watch as the better fit for calls, messages and wrist apps. |
| Oura Ring | People who prefer a discreet ring and prioritize sleep and recovery trends. | No analog watch face or wrist vibration; form factor and current total cost should be compared directly. |
| WHOOP | Training-load and recovery-focused users comfortable with a screenless band and subscription-centered service. | No analog watch design; different emphasis and ownership model. |
| Garmin | Athletes who need GPS workouts, sports profiles, training metrics and longer battery life. | More sports-focused features and feedback, but a poor match for someone whose main aim is removing wrist-screen interaction. |
Who is the NOWATCH B for?
It may suit you if
- You want health tracking but dislike wrist notifications and digital watch faces.
- You care more about stress and recovery trends than calls, apps, navigation or advanced sports tools.
- You like a traditional watch appearance and are comfortable opening a phone app to review data.
- You prefer a hardware purchase without a required subscription for core features.
Look elsewhere if
- You need live workout metrics, built-in GPS, maps, calls, payments, notifications or emergency features on your wrist.
- You expect highly mature sports analytics, weeks of battery life or proven accuracy across every advertised metric.
- You want a medical device for diagnosis or treatment.
- Frequent health-data checks could increase anxiety or lead you to over-monitor signals that the device cannot explain.
At $449–$499, the B costs more than a basic fitness band while giving up the screen functions and broad software ecosystems associated with premium smartwatches. Its value depends on whether the calmer, analog-first experience is worth that exchange to you—not on whether it can do everything a smartwatch can.
