What was the 2024 America’s Cup context?
OMEGA’s 16 August 2024 timekeeping announcement said the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup would run in Barcelona from 22 August to 27 October 2024. OMEGA was the Official Timekeeper, including for the Puig Women’s America’s Cup and Unicredit Youth America’s Cup. The company said its association with the Cup began in 1995 supporting Emirates Team New Zealand, and that it had served as Official Timekeeper in 2000, 2003 and 2021 before returning in 2024.

In its 21 October 2024 event report, OMEGA said Emirates Team New Zealand defeated INEOS Britannia 7–2 in a first-to-seven final decided over nine races. That result explains the ETNZ tribute’s team connection, but does not change its 2023 announcement date.

For context beyond the 2024 releases, OMEGA announced in April 2026 that it would be Official Timekeeper for the 38th America’s Cup in Naples in 2027. That is a separate event and does not make these three watches 2027 editions.
