How does the 41 mm case compare across variants?
Even within the 41 mm Calibre 8900 family, details vary. For example, OMEGA’s Hong Kong listing for white-dial bracelet reference 131.30.41.21.04.001 specifies a blue ceramic bezel, white ceramic dial, 41 mm diameter, 44 mm lug-to-lug, 13.50 mm thickness, 50 m water resistance and 60-hour reserve. The 0.10 mm thickness difference is reference-specific; do not assume every 41 mm version matches the black-dial model exactly.

What does Calibre 8900 and Master Chronometer certification mean?
OMEGA describes Calibre 8900 as an automatic Co-Axial movement with a silicon balance spring, two barrels, bidirectional winding and a time-zone function. The company states that it resists magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, and lists a 60-hour power reserve for both references above. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of an individual watch.

OMEGA’s manual explains that Master Chronometer certification involves METAS testing of precision, magnetic resistance, power reserve and water resistance, while the movement also meets ISO 3159 chronometer criteria. This describes the certification framework; it is not a test report for a particular serial-numbered watch. OMEGA user manual
In a separate manual for another model, OMEGA describes eight tests over ten days and a complete-watch precision criterion of 0/+5 seconds per day. OMEGA also says the Co-Axial escapement reduces friction and the need for lubrication. The cited material does not establish a specific service interval for this reference, so that manufacturer statement should not be read as a maintenance schedule.
Is 50 m water resistance enough?
For reference 131.30.41.21.01.001, OMEGA’s stated rating is 5 bar / 50 metres / 165 feet. The white-dial bracelet reference is also listed at 50 m. A depth rating is a specification, not a blanket recommendation for every activity or a substitute for checking the watch’s condition; follow OMEGA’s guidance for the exact watch and its use.

What should you check before choosing a 41 mm Constellation?
- Exact reference: Verify the full reference number because dial, bezel, material, thickness and bracelet or strap can differ within the family.
- Wrist fit: Compare the 41 mm diameter, 44 mm lug-to-lug and stated thickness with a watch you know fits you. Those dimensions cannot predict comfort on their own.
- Dial and bezel: Choose between the finishes and color combinations offered on the specific reference; the black and white bracelet examples above do not share the same bezel or dial material.
- Bracelet or strap: Check the configuration and clasp on the actual reference rather than assuming features carry across variants.
