OnePlus launched five products on July 8, 2025, but the full lineup was not released in the United States. U.S. buyers got the OnePlus Buds 4 and OnePlus Watch 3 43mm. The Nord 5, Nord CE5, and Pad Lite were announced for other markets.
The two U.S. products target different buyers: the Buds 4 are a mid-premium pair of noise-cancelling earbuds, while the Watch 3 43mm is a smaller Wear OS smartwatch for Android users who find larger watches uncomfortable or excessive.

OnePlus described the event as a broader ecosystem launch: the Nord 5 and Nord CE5 formed the phone lineup, while the Buds 4, Watch 3 43mm, and Pad Lite expanded the ecosystem. The Buds 4 use an 11mm woofer and 6mm tweeter in each earbud. OnePlus lists adaptive active noise cancellation with noise reduction of up to 55dB, three microphones per earbud, Bluetooth 5.4, and support for LHDC 5.0, AAC, and SBC codecs. They also include transparency mode, three-microphone AI call-noise cancellation, OnePlus Fast Pair, and HeyMelody app support. Each earbud weighs approximately 4.73 grams. The case weighs about 39.57 grams, producing a listed total of roughly 49.02 grams.
What the specifications mean
- “Up to 55dB” is not a guaranteed real-world result. Noise reduction depends on the fit, ear-tip seal, frequency of the noise, and listening environment.
- LHDC is useful only when the phone and software support it. A compatible phone may also need the codec enabled in Bluetooth settings.
- Dual drivers are a design feature, not proof of superior sound. Tuning, fit, source quality, and personal preference still matter.
- The Buds 4 sit below the flagship-priced tier. They are positioned as a premium-but-more-accessible option rather than an automatic replacement for every Buds Pro model.
Independent reviews reached a mixed but useful picture. TechRadar praised the noise cancellation, while Tom’s Guide identified both improvements and shortcomings. That makes the Buds 4 more compelling for buyers who value ANC and dual-driver audio than for people seeking the strongest possible call performance or a guaranteed class-leading experience.
Who should buy the Buds 4?
They make sense for OnePlus and Android users who want strong features at a mid-premium price, particularly if their phone supports LHDC and OnePlus Fast Pair. They are less attractive for iPhone owners seeking deep ecosystem integration, buyers who can find the older Buds Pro 3 at a major discount, or people who regularly make calls in wind and traffic and prioritize microphone performance above all else.

OnePlus Watch 3 43mm: a smaller Wear OS option
The Watch 3 43mm is a smaller version of the Watch 3, not a wholly new smartwatch platform. It has an approximately 43.2mm case, is about 11mm thick excluding the relevant sensor area, and weighs approximately 37.8 grams without the strap. Its 1.32-inch AMOLED display has a 466 × 466 resolution.
Hardware includes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 wearable platform, the BES2800BP companion MCU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 354mAh typical battery. The watch runs Wear OS by Google alongside an RTOS and includes Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS support for GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, and BeiDou. OnePlus lists 5ATM and IP68 ratings. Battery life and the 43mm trade-off
OnePlus claims up to 60 hours in Smart Mode, up to 36 hours with heavy Smart Mode use, and up to seven days in Power Saver Mode. It also claims up to 24 hours of normal use after a 10-minute charge. These figures depend on OnePlus’ stated test conditions, including display behavior, monitoring settings, connection time, messages, workouts, and screen activity; they should not be treated as a universal runtime guarantee. The reason to choose this model is the smaller case: it should suit small and medium wrists better, look less bulky, and feel lighter than a large sports-style smartwatch. The compromise is a smaller display and a shorter official Smart Mode claim than the larger 46mm Watch 3, whose U.S. specifications list up to five days in Smart Mode. Do not assume the two sizes have identical endurance.
Compatibility: the Watch 3 43mm is Android-only
The Watch 3 43mm requires Android 9.0 or newer, compatible Google Mobile Services, and the OnePlus OHealth app from Google Play. It does not support iPhones or Android Go devices. An iPhone owner should not buy this watch, regardless of its size, battery claims, or design.
Some features are more restricted. Camera remote control requires compatible OnePlus or OPPO phones running OxygenOS 15 or ColorOS 15 or later. OnePlus also lists controls for TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Google Wallet availability depends on the country and supported services.

Health and fitness features
The watch offers heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen measurements, sleep tracking, sleep-breathing and snoring-risk assessments, stress and mind-and-body insights, menstrual-cycle tracking, barometer readings, and more than 100 workout types. Specialized tracking includes running, tennis, swimming, cycling, and skiing.
These features should be understood in three layers: the watch collects sensor readings, software interprets those readings, and the resulting insights are presented for general wellness and fitness. OnePlus does not present them as tools for diagnosing, treating, or preventing medical conditions. Blood oxygen, stress, sleep, and heart-rate results should not replace professional medical advice.

Prices and current buying advice
The U.S. launch prices were $129.99 for the Buds 4 and $299.99 for the Watch 3 43mm, with both products listed from July 8, 2025. Those are launch prices, not guaranteed August 2026 prices. Discounts, stock, and promotions may have changed; check the OnePlus U.S. store before buying. Launch-period promo codes and student discounts should not be treated as current offers.
Choose the Buds 4 if
- You want capable noise-cancelling earbuds for an Android or OnePlus phone.
- Your phone supports LHDC and you value higher-bandwidth codec support.
- You prefer a lighter, lower-cost purchase than a flagship earbud model.
- You are comfortable weighing ANC, comfort, sound, and call quality rather than relying on the 55dB claim alone.
Choose the Watch 3 43mm if
- You use Android and want Wear OS, Google apps, and Google Wallet support.
- You have a small or medium wrist and dislike the bulk of larger smartwatches.
- You want multi-day battery life without choosing the larger 46mm Watch 3.
- You use a compatible OnePlus or OPPO phone and can benefit from ecosystem-specific controls.
Look elsewhere if
- You use an iPhone—the Watch 3 43mm cannot pair with it.
- You need cellular connectivity; verify the exact U.S. configuration rather than assuming LTE support.
- You want the smallest possible fitness tracker rather than a relatively substantial Wear OS watch.
- You already own a compatible smartwatch ecosystem from Samsung, Google, or Apple and value its health and software features most.
- You can buy older OnePlus earbuds at a substantially lower price and do not need the Buds 4’s newer features.
The bottom line
OnePlus’ five-product announcement was global, not a five-product U.S. launch. American buyers received two products: the Buds 4 and Watch 3 43mm. The Buds 4 are the broader recommendation for Android users looking for feature-rich earbuds. The Watch 3 43mm is more specialized: its strongest reason to exist is the smaller case, while its biggest deal-breaker is the lack of iPhone support.
