The OnePlus Watch 3 43mm is an official OnePlus smartwatch, not a rumor or retailer placeholder. It combines a 43.2mm stainless-steel case, 1.32-inch AMOLED display, Wear OS 5, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 354mAh typical battery. OnePlus rates it for up to 60 hours in Smart Mode, although that figure depends on a defined usage profile. It works with compatible Android phones only; iPhones and Android Go devices are unsupported.
This smaller model is lighter and better suited to smaller wrists than the larger OnePlus Watch 3, but it has a smaller display and battery. Its specification sheet also lists 2.5D glass rather than the larger model’s listed sapphire crystal.

Design, dimensions and fit
The watch measures approximately 43.2 × 43.2mm and is about 11mm thick. The thickness figure excludes the PPG and sensor area, while the approximately 37.8g weight excludes the strap. Those exclusions matter when comparing it with other watches or estimating how it will sit on the wrist.

OnePlus specifies compatibility with wrists measuring 130–210mm. The case is available in Black Steel and Silver Steel, and the watch accepts standard 18mm bands. Standard sizing should make replacement straps easier to find than a proprietary strap system, although the supplied strap, lug shape and sensor bump still affect the real wearing experience.
A nominal “43mm” watch is not necessarily 43mm at every point on the outside. Buyers with especially small wrists should account for the lugs, crown, case thickness and underside sensor housing rather than comparing only the headline diameter.
Display and cover glass
The 43mm model has a 1.32-inch round AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels, or approximately 352ppi. That should provide a sharp interface and text rendering in the smaller case, but it gives less screen area than the larger Watch 3’s 1.50-inch panel.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →The 43mm specification page lists 2.5D glass. It should not be described as sapphire crystal. The larger OnePlus Watch 3 specification page lists sapphire crystal, but that claim should not be transferred to the smaller model.
Processor, memory and Wear OS
The OnePlus Watch 3 43mm uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 Wearable Platform alongside a BES2800BP companion microcontroller. OnePlus describes this as a dual-engine architecture: the Snapdragon platform handles Wear OS functions, while the lower-power MCU supports tasks designed to reduce energy consumption.
Memory and storage are listed as 2GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. The advertised storage capacity is not the same as space available for downloaded apps, music or watch faces because the operating system and preinstalled software occupy part of it.
The watch runs Wear OS by Google, with OnePlus advertising Wear OS 5. Google Play apps, notifications, messaging features and YouTube Music are among the supported smartwatch functions. Google Wallet availability depends on the country, supported banks and local service requirements; its presence on the watch does not guarantee availability in every market.
Battery life: what the 60-hour claim means
The watch has a 354mAh typical-capacity battery and a 345mAh rated capacity. OnePlus quotes different endurance figures for different modes:
| Mode or charging scenario | OnePlus claim |
|---|---|
| Smart Mode, standard-use scenario | Up to 60 hours |
| Smart Mode, heavy-use scenario | Up to 36 hours |
| Power Saver Mode | Up to 7 days |
| 10-minute charge | Up to 24 hours of normal use |
| Full charge | About 60 minutes |
“Up to 60 hours” is a manufacturer test result, not a guarantee that every user will get two and a half days. OnePlus’s standard scenario includes its official watch face with the always-on display off, default health monitoring, 14.2 hours of Bluetooth connection per day, 6.5 hours of sleep monitoring, 20 minutes of app use, 30 minutes of outdoor running, calls, messages, alarms and other prescribed activity.

The heavy-use figure assumes more demanding conditions, including the always-on display, a third-party watch face, more screen activity, navigation, synchronization, music and workouts. GPS use, Bluetooth calls, Wi-Fi, frequent notifications, third-party apps, more intensive health monitoring and battery age can all reduce endurance. Power Saver Mode can reach the quoted seven days, but it does not offer the same full smartwatch experience as Smart Mode.
Charging requirements
OnePlus says the watch requires its exclusive charging dock and a suitable 3C-certified power adapter rated at 5V⎓2A or higher. The cited specifications do not identify the watch as supporting generic Qi charging.
The 10-minute charging claim—up to 24 hours of normal use—is based on OnePlus’s standard battery model and Smart Mode scenario. It should not be interpreted as 24 hours of GPS-heavy exercise or always-on-display use. Because the charging hardware is dedicated, buyers may want to consider the availability of a replacement or spare dock for travel and work.
Health and wellness tracking
The listed sensors include wrist-temperature, optical heart-rate, optical pulse-oximeter, geomagnetic, ambient-light, barometer, accelerometer and gyroscope sensors. Advertised wellness functions include:
- Heart-rate monitoring and resting-heart-rate trends.
- Blood-oxygen readings.
- Wrist-temperature measurements.
- Heart-rate variability and stress trends.
- Sleep-quality and sleep-breathing analysis.
- Snoring-risk assessment and related wellness insights.
- Cycle tracking and period predictions.
- Fatigue and “mind and body” trend insights.
The watch is not a medical device. OnePlus says its readings are intended for general wellness and fitness purposes, not diagnosis or treatment. Blood-oxygen measurements are for reference, and low-blood-oxygen warnings are disabled by default. Sleep-breathing features should be understood as risk or early-sign assessment, not a clinical sleep-apnea diagnosis.
Cycle predictions depend on information entered by the user and assumptions about cycle regularity, so they can be inaccurate. Health features also require the OHealth app, permissions and account setup.

OnePlus lists more than 100 workout types, including user-customized workouts. That number should not be read as more than 100 sports with the same depth of analysis: OnePlus says only 11 workout types have algorithm support.
Examples of advertised metrics include:
- Running: ground-contact time, stride balance, running power, vertical ratio and fat-burning evaluation.
- Tennis: stroke technique and swing count.
- Skiing: maximum speed and slope angle.
- Swimming: pace, lap count, distance, stroke type and SWOLF.
- Cycling: pace, calories, distance and heart-rate zones.
Some running metrics have mode restrictions. OnePlus says they are available in outdoor run, outdoor fat-burn run and track-running modes; vertical ratio and running power are unavailable in indoor run and indoor fat-burn run. These are feature claims, not independent accuracy tests.

The OnePlus Watch 3 43mm requires an Android 9.0-or-newer phone with Google Mobile Services version 23.45.23 or later. It is not compatible with iPhone or Android Go devices. The OHealth app, downloaded through Google Play, is required for setup and health-data management.

- 【Efficient Fast Charging】Advanced fast charging technology, optimized circuit design ensures stable output of current and voltage.
- 【Strong Magnetic Design】 Built-in pure copper probe with solid magnetic power supply, stronger adsorption watch charging than other chargers.
- 【Short-Circuit Protection】Multiple protection mechanisms, such as short-circuit protection, over-voltage and over-current protection, effectively prevent the battery from overheating and damage.
- 【Stable and Durable】Made of ABS material and flexible PVC. The charger cable has been tested for bending over 5000+ times.
- 【Portable and ECO-FRIENDLY】The charging cable is designed to be lightweight and portable, so it can be put into your travel bag and carried around.Adopting high efficiency conversion circuit and low power standby mode reduces energy consumption, minimizing energy waste and carbon emission.
Health data can integrate with Health Connect, provided OHealth is version 4.20.23 or later. Workout data can sync to Strava, subject to the necessary permissions and account connections. Health data should not be assumed to sync automatically until OHealth permissions and integrations have been configured.
Some ecosystem features are narrower than the general Android compatibility statement:
- Camera control: limited to compatible OnePlus and OPPO phones running OxygenOS 15 or ColorOS 15 or newer.
- Short-video controls: support TikTok and YouTube Shorts only.
- Google Wallet: availability varies by country and service support.
There is no cellular or LTE capability identified in the cited official specifications. Treat the 43mm model as a Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Wear OS watch rather than an LTE smartwatch unless a specific regional product listing states otherwise.
Water resistance and durability
The watch carries 5ATM water resistance and an IP68 rating. OnePlus describes the IP68 basis as freshwater submersion to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes under stated test conditions.
That does not make the watch waterproof for every activity. OnePlus excludes diving and deep diving, hot showers, saunas, hot springs and seawater exposure. Avoid treating 5ATM as permission to wear it in a hot tub or at the beach. After swimming, clean and dry the watch. Water and dust resistance can decline as a device ages, and liquid or dust damage may not be covered by warranty.

OnePlus Watch 3 43mm vs. the larger Watch 3
| Specification | Watch 3 43mm | Larger Watch 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Case size | Approximately 43.2mm | 46.6mm, excluding lugs |
| Thickness | Approximately 11mm, excluding PPG area | 11.75mm, excluding sensor area |
| Weight | 37.8g, excluding strap | 49.7g, excluding strap |
| Display | 1.32-inch, 466 × 466 | 1.50-inch, 466 × 466 |
| Battery | 354mAh typical / 345mAh rated | Up to five days in Smart Mode listed on OnePlus’s page |
| Cover glass | 2.5D glass | Sapphire crystal listed |
| Supported wrist size | 130–210mm | 140–210mm |
The larger model offers more display area and a different battery specification, while the 43mm version is about 11.9g lighter and supports smaller wrists. The cover-glass difference is especially important: the larger model’s sapphire listing does not establish sapphire protection for the 43mm watch.
Who should buy the OnePlus Watch 3 43mm?
It is the stronger fit for Android users who want a smaller, lighter round Wear OS watch without accepting daily charging. OnePlus and OPPO phone owners may also benefit from the more integrated camera and short-video controls, provided their phones and software versions meet the requirements.
It is a poor fit for:
- iPhone owners or Android Go users.
- People who require cellular service from the watch.
- Buyers seeking clinically validated medical monitoring.
- Divers or anyone who regularly uses a watch in hot water, saunas, hot springs or seawater.
- Users who specifically want sapphire glass or the larger model’s battery endurance.
- Anyone who requires universal wireless charging rather than a dedicated dock.
Verdict
The OnePlus Watch 3 43mm’s central trade-off is straightforward: it delivers the Wear OS apps, Google services and long advertised endurance of the Watch 3 family in a smaller, lighter case, but sacrifices screen area and battery capacity. Its most important qualifications are equally clear: the 60-hour figure is an “up to” claim based on controlled usage, the 43mm listing specifies 2.5D glass rather than sapphire, advanced analysis covers only 11 workout types, and health measurements are for wellness rather than medical diagnosis.
For an Android buyer with a 130–210mm wrist who values comfort and fewer charging interruptions, the 43mm model is the fit-focused choice. Check regional availability, Google service support and the dedicated charging dock before buying.
