Its headline feature was a smaller stainless-steel case weighing approximately 37.8 grams without the strap—almost the same as the 37-gram 45mm Google Pixel Watch 3, but substantially heavier than the 31-gram 41mm model.
It is now a released product rather than an upcoming teaser. The 43mm version keeps Wear OS, Google Play access and OnePlus’s health-tracking features, but trades the larger Watch 3’s battery capacity and display for a more compact case.

What OnePlus announced
OnePlus positioned the Watch 3 43mm as a more wrist-friendly alternative to the larger Watch 3. The announcement highlighted a 1.32-inch AMOLED display, stainless-steel construction, health and fitness tracking, and a body weight of approximately 1.3 ounces.
The two announced finishes are Black Steel and Silver Steel. The watch supports standard 18mm bands and is designed for wrists measuring approximately 130mm to 210mm, although that range is not a guarantee that every wearer will find the case comfortable.

How its weight compares with the Pixel Watch
“As much as a Pixel Watch” needs a size qualifier. The OnePlus is nearly the same weight as the larger 45mm Pixel Watch 3, not the smaller 41mm version.
| Watch | Case diameter | Weight without band |
|---|---|---|
| OnePlus Watch 3 43mm | Approximately 43.2mm | Approximately 37.8g |
| Google Pixel Watch 3 45mm | 45mm | 37g |
| Google Pixel Watch 3 41mm | 41mm | 31g |
On the same body-only basis, the OnePlus Watch 3 43mm is about 0.8g heavier than the Pixel Watch 3 45mm and 6.8g heavier than the 41mm model. The strap is excluded from all of these figures, and different bands can significantly change the weight and feel on the wrist. Google lists the Pixel Watch 3 measurements on its official specifications page.

| Weight | Approximately 37.8g without strap |
| Case | Stainless steel |
| Display | 1.32-inch AMOLED, 466 × 466 pixels, 352 PPI |
| Cover | 2.5D glass |
| Battery | 354mAh typical, 345mAh rated |

| Memory and storage | 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM |
| Software | Wear OS by Google plus RTOS |
| Connectivity | Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS and other satellite systems |
| Durability | 5ATM water resistance and IP68 dust and water resistance |
| Band compatibility | 18mm watchbands |
These figures come from OnePlus’s published specifications. The 5ATM and IP68 ratings do not make the watch suitable for diving, hot showers, saunas or hot springs. OnePlus also warns that resistance can decline with age and that liquid or dust damage may not be covered by warranty.
What changes from the larger OnePlus Watch 3?
The 43mm model is more than a smaller case around exactly the same hardware. OnePlus reduces several physical components to fit the compact design:
| Watch 3 43mm | Watch 3 larger model | |
|---|---|---|
| Case | Approximately 43.2mm | Approximately 46.6mm |
| Weight without strap | 37.8g | 49.7g |
| Display | 1.32-inch AMOLED | 1.50-inch LTPO AMOLED |
| Battery | 354mAh typical | 631mAh typical |
| Claimed Smart Mode runtime | Up to 60 hours | Up to five days |
| Band size | 18mm | 22mm |
The smaller version therefore makes the clearest case for people who find the larger Watch 3 too bulky. The trade-off is a smaller screen and materially lower battery capacity and claimed endurance.

Case diameter is only part of the comfort equation. The approximately 11mm thickness, lug shape, strap stiffness and 37.8g watch-head weight can matter just as much on a smaller wrist.

Battery-life claims and what they mean
OnePlus rates the 43mm Watch 3 for:
- Up to 60 hours in Smart Mode.
- Up to 36 hours in the company’s heavy-use scenario.
- Up to seven days in Power Saver Mode.
- Up to 24 hours of normal use after 10 minutes of charging.
- Approximately one hour for a full charge.
These are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed runtimes. OnePlus’s 60-hour scenario assumes a defined usage profile including the official watch face, always-on display disabled, specified Bluetooth and Wi-Fi use, limited app interaction, sleep tracking, notifications, calls and a 30-minute outdoor run. Display brightness, GPS use, calls, apps and workout frequency can all reduce endurance.
The larger Watch 3’s five-day claim is therefore not carried over to the 43mm model. Choosing the smaller case means accepting more frequent charging.
Health and fitness features
The watch includes OnePlus’s Mind & Body Evaluation system. OnePlus describes features including:
- A real-time status barometer intended to indicate body fatigue.
- Stress-pattern tracking using inputs such as heart-rate variability and resting heart rate.
- Guided breathing exercises.
- Daily and weekly wellness trends.
- Sleep-quality, breathing, blood-oxygen and potential-snoring insights.
- Cycle tracking.
- More than 100 sports modes, with enhanced metrics for selected activities.
These should be read as wellness indicators generated from sensor and activity data, not clinical measurements or psychological assessments. OnePlus says the health features are for general wellness and fitness purposes and are not medical advice or a diagnostic service. Blood-oxygen readings and cycle predictions also have limitations and should not replace professional medical care.
Android compatibility and connected features
The OnePlus Watch 3 43mm is Android-only. It supports phones running Android 9.0 or later with a compatible version of Google Mobile Services. It does not support iPhones or Android Go devices, and the OHealth app is required.

Its Wear OS software provides access to Google Play apps and supports features including Google Wallet, Google Maps, Google Calendar, Google Assistant where available, Bluetooth calling, music control and playback, and controls for TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Google Wallet and some services depend on country availability.
Remote camera control is more restricted than the general Android compatibility suggests. OnePlus says the feature works with compatible OnePlus and Oppo phones running OxygenOS 15 or ColorOS 15 or later. It is not a universal Android camera-control function.
OnePlus Watch 3 43mm versus Pixel Watch 3
The most useful comparison depends on which Pixel Watch size is in consideration:
- Against the 45mm Pixel Watch 3: the OnePlus is slightly heavier—37.8g versus 37g without bands—but has a smaller 43.2mm case. OnePlus also claims up to 60 hours in Smart Mode.
- Against the 41mm Pixel Watch 3: the OnePlus is about 6.8g heavier, so it is not the lightest compact option.
- Against the larger OnePlus Watch 3: the 43mm model is much lighter and smaller, but its 354mAh battery and 1.32-inch display are substantially reduced from the larger model.
The OnePlus is the more natural choice for an Android user who values long claimed battery life, stainless steel, Google Play access and standard 18mm bands. The Pixel Watch 3 may be preferable for someone already invested in Google’s or Pixel’s ecosystem, especially if choosing the 45mm model where body weight is almost identical.
Prices are market- and date-dependent. The original launch coverage reported an approximately $299 U.S. price for the OnePlus model, but that historical figure should not be treated as a current August 2026 price. Check the live OnePlus listing before buying. Google’s Pixel Watch pricing can also change with promotions; its official buying page is the appropriate current reference.
Who should buy it?
The OnePlus Watch 3 43mm is a strong fit for an Android user who wants a smaller stainless-steel Wear OS watch and prefers longer claimed battery life to the lightest possible case. It is also a practical alternative to the 46mm Watch 3 for people who find larger watches uncomfortable.
It is less convincing for iPhone owners, Android Go users, buyers seeking a genuinely ultralight compact watch, or anyone expecting the 43mm model to deliver the larger Watch 3’s battery endurance. The Pixel comparison is favorable only when it is made against the 45mm Pixel Watch 3; the 41mm Pixel remains meaningfully lighter.
