The Orient Mako USA II is a 200 m automatic dive-style watch whose published specifications include a sapphire crystal, 41.5 mm case, and F6922 movement with hand-winding and hacking. Orient’s legacy listing identifies three dial references: SAA0200CW9 (white), SAA0200BD9 (blue), and SAA0200AB9 (black). Those details distinguish it from the current Mako II listing, which specifies a mineral crystal. The available evidence supports a specification-led feature, not claims about how the USA II feels or performs on the wrist.
Which Orient Mako USA II is this?
Orient Watch USA’s legacy product listing names the Mako USA II and gives three references by dial color:
- SAA0200CW9: white dial
- SAA0200BD9: blue dial
- SAA0200AB9: black dial
Confirm the full reference when comparing listings or looking for a manual; “Mako” appears across multiple Orient models and generations. Orient says the Mako series name dates to its 2004 launch, but that history does not make every Mako, Mako II, or Kamasu the same watch. Orient’s 2023 Mako announcement provides broader model-line context, not proof of equivalence with the USA II.
Orient Mako USA II specifications
The figures below are Orient Watch USA’s published specifications for the Mako USA II, rather than independent measurements. The legacy listing was accessed in 2026 and does not establish current stock or price.

Orient describes the USA II as an update to the Mako USA. Its product copy says the earlier USA model was built around requested features including sapphire crystal and solid end links, while the USA II added the F6922 movement’s hand-winding and hacking. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent performance findings. Orient Watch USA’s legacy Mako USA II listing is the source for the references and specifications above.
Mako USA II vs. Mako II: the documented difference
Compare exact references and published specifications rather than treating the overlapping names as interchangeable. Orient’s current Mako II page for TAA02001B9 lists a 41.5 mm diameter, 47 mm lug-to-lug, 13 mm thickness, 22 mm lug width, 200 m water resistance, F6922 movement, day/date, and approximately 40 hours of reserve. It specifies a mineral crystal, while the USA II legacy listing specifies sapphire.

The crystal is the clear published difference in these pages. They do not establish other hidden construction differences or prove that the Mako II listing describes the same reference as the USA II. The Mako USA II listing and Mako II TAA02001B9 listing are the relevant comparison sources.
What “hands-on” can—and cannot—establish here
The published specifications identify the case dimensions and functions, but do not establish how the Mako USA II wears on a particular wrist. The legacy page does not provide a lug-to-lug measurement, and the product description cannot substitute for trying the watch on. Nor does it establish observed accuracy, bezel alignment or feel, bracelet comfort, or lume duration. Comments about a Mako II, Ray II, or Kamasu should not be treated as firsthand findings about these USA II references.

What size strap fits the Mako USA II?
Orient lists a 22 mm lug width, so 22 mm is the sensible nominal width to search for when considering a replacement strap. That measurement alone does not confirm that a particular aftermarket strap or bracelet fits correctly: end-link shape, spring bars, and clearance can matter. No specific accessory compatibility is established here.
For a manual or product lookup, Orient’s instruction-manual page says to search by product number and notes that it can be found on the product page or warranty card. The lookup available for this article did not return a Mako USA II manual.

Buying a Mako USA II in the United States
Orient Watch USA’s retailer guidance names Amazon.com as an authorized US retailer, but says Orient warranty coverage applies only to watches sold and shipped specifically by Amazon.com. Authorized-retailer status does not verify that a particular Mako USA II reference is currently available, or that a given listing is sold and shipped by Amazon itself.
- Check that the listing names the exact reference and dial variant.
- Confirm the named seller and shipping party; for the stated Orient warranty condition, both must be Amazon.com.
- Review the listing’s current warranty terms and availability before purchase.
Orient’s authorized-retailer guidance also warns about unauthorized sellers. Retailer policies and marketplace listings can change, so verify the live listing rather than relying on the model name alone.

Water resistance and care
Orient lists the Mako USA II at 200 m water resistance and specifies a screw-down crown. Those are manufacturer ratings and features, not a guarantee of suitability for a particular dive or activity. Follow Orient’s official guidance for use and maintenance, and make sure the crown is secured as directed before exposing the watch to water.
