The release brings a deep burgundy dial to Oris’s ongoing collaboration with Swiss deer-leather specialist Cervo Volante. Oris describes the strap leather as sustainably sourced and naturally tanned. The watch is a multi-piece stainless-steel model in the Big Crown Pointer Date line, rather than a separate limited-edition collection; the sources do not identify this reference as limited.

How this release fits the Cervo Volante collaboration
Oris’s 2023 Sustainability Report describes an earlier group of three Cervo Volante Big Crown Pointer Date watches, with dials inspired by Swiss forest colours and deer-leather straps. The report says those watches were not limited editions and came with a travel pouch and card holder made from the same material. It also says Oris was expanding the partnership and bringing Cervo Volante straps into its collection.
That background explains the returning leather partnership, but it does not establish that a separate strap, card holder or other leather good is currently offered for the new reference. Nor should the older watches be treated as the same model: this release is the 40 mm reference 01 754 7785 4038-Set.
