The Oris Aquis Date Upcycle 41.5 mm is a stainless-steel automatic diver distinguished by a multicolored dial made from recycled PET plastic. Oris listed the exact reference, 01 733 7787 4150-07 8 22 04PEB, at USD 2,900 on its U.S. product page when checked on 7 October 2026. The dial is deliberately unpredictable; the rest is a practical Aquis Date, with 30 bar water resistance and a 41-hour listed power reserve.
Price and exact reference
The 41.5 mm model covered here is reference 01 733 7787 4150-07 8 22 04PEB. Oris’s U.S. product page listed it for USD 2,900 when accessed on 7 October 2026. That is the manufacturer’s U.S. listing, not a guaranteed retailer price or an indication of availability in other countries. Check the page and local sellers for current pricing.
Oracle Time’s Michael Sonsino gave the 2024 model a UK price of £2,250 in a review published 9 April 2024. That is historical context, not a current UK price.
What makes the Upcycle dial different?
Oris says the dial is made from recycled PET plastic and that no two dials are the same. Its 2025 image booklet describes the pattern emerging as melted fragments set, producing a varied, multicolored surface rather than a repeatable design. That randomness is the defining reason to choose the Upcycle: buyers should expect the dial shown in a listing or photograph to differ from the particular watch they receive.

The recycled material is a product attribute, not a quantified environmental-impact claim. Oris’s cited materials do not give a recovered-plastic weight, emissions reduction, or other measured impact for this watch.

Match specifications to the reference, not just the Upcycle name. Oris’s 2025 booklet also describes 36.5 mm and 43.5 mm Upcycle sizes; it identifies the 43.5 mm version as using Calibre 400. That movement specification should not be attributed to this 41.5 mm watch.

What changed in the 2024 version?
In his hands-on review published 9 April 2024, Oracle Time’s Michael Sonsino says the updated watch keeps its 41.5 mm diameter but feels more compact, with the caseback sitting flatter. He also notes a tighter-feeling relationship between bezel and case, slimmer bracelet links, and dial-detail changes: a higher-contrast date window, slimmer hands and altered marker tips. These are his subjective observations, not instrumented measurements.
Sonsino found the bracelet comfortable, while noting that its slimmer build could leave the watch feeling less substantial than some buyers expect from a steel tool watch. His assessment captures the trade-off: a more restrained feel may suit someone who wants a less bulky Aquis, but heft-seekers should try it on before buying if possible.

How to decide if it suits you
Choose it for the dial’s individuality
The Upcycle makes sense if you want an Aquis with a dial that is unmistakably different and accept that its exact pattern cannot be selected from a standard color chart. If you want a consistent, predictable dial appearance, a conventional Aquis Date may be the safer choice.
Consider the wearing feel, not diameter alone
The 41.5 mm case size is unchanged in the 2024 iteration, but Sonsino’s impression of a more compact feel and slimmer bracelet suggests that diameter alone will not tell you how it wears. Wrist shape, fit and preferred sense of weight matter; trying it on is the most useful check.

Check strap and movement details by reference
The listed bracelet and 22 mm interhorn width provide a starting point for strap choices. Oris lists matching rubber straps, but verify compatibility with this exact reference before choosing a third-party strap. Likewise, use the 41-hour reserve listed for calibre 733-1 on this exact product page rather than carrying over figures or specifications from another Aquis version.

The Aquis Date Upcycle 41.5 mm is best understood as a familiar steel Aquis diver with one deliberately singular feature: a recycled-PET dial whose pattern varies from watch to watch. Its revised details and reviewer-described comfortable bracelet may appeal to buyers seeking a less chunky feel, while its listed 30 bar water resistance and 41-hour reserve make its core specifications clear. At Oris’s U.S. listing of USD 2,900 on 7 October 2026, the purchase decision rests chiefly on whether that unpredictable dial and the wearing feel justify the price to you.
