What is the Oris Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition IV?

What is the Great Barrier Reef connection?
Oris describes the Resilient Reefs Foundation as an Australian nonprofit working to combat the effects of coral bleaching, and says healthy reefs are vital to planetary health. The company presents the watch as part of its long-standing commitment to the Australian reef and says the edition is inspired by the foundation’s work. Oris’s organization-level statement is: “Healthy reefs are vital to our planet’s health and it’s a privilege to support the foundation’s work.”
That describes Oris’s stated motivation and relationship, not a measured outcome. The product information does not state a per-watch donation, a quantified reef-health result, or a specific conservation impact attributable to buying one watch. What should buyers know about fit, straps and service?
Case fit and strap options
The listed case diameter is 43.50 mm and the interhorn width is 23 mm. Oris’s US and UK pages list fitting rubber straps in multiple colors, also at 23 mm. That measurement alone does not confirm that every generic 23 mm strap will fit or that a specific replacement is available in every market; verify the exact strap reference and local availability with Oris or a retailer.
Warranty and recommended service
Oris lists a two-year warranty and says registration with MyOris can extend it free to 10 years. The extension depends on registration and applicable terms, so check the current conditions for your market and purchase. Oris also describes 10-year recommended service intervals. That is the manufacturer’s service recommendation, not an independently established movement lifespan or a promise that no attention will be needed sooner.
