The Panerai Luminor Marina “Luminous Trilogy” comprises three boutique-exclusive limited editions launched in 2020 for the 70th anniversary of Luminor: PAM01117 in titanium, PAM01118 in Carbotech and PAM01119 in Fibratech. Each was reported as limited to 270 pieces. Their shared signature is unusually extensive Super-LumiNova treatment, reaching beyond the hands and sandwich dial to case details and strap stitching.
What makes up the Luminous Trilogy?
Panerai introduced the three Luminor Marina references on 24 April 2020 as a celebration of the 70th anniversary of Luminor. Monochrome Watches and Hodinkee both reported that each reference was limited to 270 pieces. The trio was described at launch as boutique-exclusive; that is historical distribution information, not confirmation of current availability. “Luminor” began as the name of a luminous compound Panerai used after radium, and later became associated with the brand’s cushion-shaped case. How do PAM01117, PAM01118 and PAM01119 differ?
The key distinctions are case material, dial color and thickness. All three are 44 mm across. Thickness and dial colors below were reported by Hodinkee; materials and euro launch prices were reported by Monochrome Watches.

Where does the extra lume appear?
The “Luminous Trilogy” name refers to more than luminous hands and the luminous layer beneath the sandwich dial’s cut-out indices. Launch coverage also identifies X1 Super-LumiNova on the inner ring or flange, crown and crown-protection components, and the strap stitching. This gives the watch’s familiar Luminor case details a luminous treatment as well as the dial.

Shared movement and specifications
Despite their different materials and dial colors, the three references share the same core format and movement. Monochrome Watches and Hodinkee reported a 44 mm case, 300 m water resistance and a 72-hour, or three-day, power reserve. The movement is the automatic Panerai P.9010.

Monochrome reported a Sportech strap with luminous stitching and Velcro closure, plus a spare rubber strap with pin buckle. Hodinkee described the Sportech strap as including a titanium ring and also mentioned an additional rubber strap. Because descriptions of the details differ, check the specific watch’s original contents and paperwork rather than assuming that every pre-owned example includes the same straps or hardware.

What to check when buying a pre-owned example
A marketplace result can help locate an offer, but it does not establish that the listing is still live, authenticate the watch or show the price a buyer will ultimately pay. - Match the reference and serial documentation to the watch and its papers.
- Inspect condition and ask for service records.
- Confirm which original straps, box and papers are included.
- Consider the seller’s standing and the terms of the sale; a listing venue is not itself proof of authenticity.
- For an official Certificate of Authenticity, Panerai says only its Manufacture can issue one and describes a factory examination process.
Panerai’s US FAQ says its warranty covers manufacturing defects for 24 months from purchase when the warranty card is signed by an authorized dealer, and that unauthorized third-party repair or service automatically invalidates the warranty. Those are general US FAQ terms, not a determination of the coverage attached to a particular trilogy watch.
