The Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 6007A-001 is a 40 mm stainless-steel watch announced in June 2020 to commemorate the completion of the brand’s new Plan-les-Ouates manufacture. Limited to 1,000 examples, it pairs a grey-blue, carbon-patterned dial with the self-winding caliber 324 S C. Its strikingly graphic details set it apart from a more restrained Calatrava, while its dimensions and functions remain straightforward.
Why Patek Philippe made the 6007A-001
Patek Philippe introduced the reference in June 2020 to mark completion of its new production building in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva. The brand says the display-back inscription “New Manufacture 2019” refers to the year the first work groups moved into the building. Production was limited to 1,000 watches, according to the June 2020 press release.
The steel case was a deliberate choice for a commemorative Calatrava. Patek Philippe described steel as rare within its collections; that is the manufacturer’s characterization, not a claim that steel Calatravas are unavailable elsewhere. The reference’s significance is its specific combination of material, design and manufacture-related inscription, rather than an independently established claim that it “stuns everyone.”
What the dial and case look like
The polished stainless-steel case measures 40 mm across and 10.34 mm in overall height. The grey-blue dial has circular satin finishing around a textured center with a carbon motif. Applied Arabic numerals, white indications and white-gold hands and numerals with luminous coating give the face its graphic, high-contrast character. Hours and minutes are central, seconds sweep across the dial, and the date sits at 3 o’clock.

The calfskin strap is embossed to suggest a woven texture and finished with white stitching; it closes with a pin buckle. Through the sapphire display back, the Calatrava cross and “New Manufacture 2019” inscription mark the watch’s commemorative purpose.

What the 22 mm lug width means for a strap
The 22 mm measurement is the width between the lugs, making “22 mm watch strap” a useful starting point when looking for a replacement. It does not, by itself, confirm that a particular strap will fit: check the attachment type and the strap’s relevant dimensions before ordering. The original is an embossed calfskin strap with white stitching and a pin buckle.

The 1,000-piece edition is limited production, but that does not establish whether the watch is currently available from an authorized retailer or at any particular price. Phillips and Christie’s have records for this reference, documenting later appearances in the secondary market. Phillips’ Spring 2026 Geneva Sessions lot record concerns an individual auction result; it is a historical transaction, not a current valuation or assurance of present availability. Christie’s lot record also corroborates the reference description and limited-edition status.
