What are the three Panerai Luminor Marina eSteel models?
The trio was introduced in 2021 as variations on the Luminor Marina, distinguished in the launch coverage by dial color. Hodinkee’s 7 April 2021 report identifies the models and references as follows:

The cited launch specifications do not establish performance differences among the three; the documented distinction is their colorway.
What does eSteel mean on these watches?
Panerai used its recycled-based steel alloy for both the case and dial. Fondation Haute Horlogerie’s 16 April 2021 account says the alloy was required to meet the same standards as the brand’s preceding steel cases. It reports that “eSteelTM exhibits the identical chemical behavior, physical structure and resistance to corrosion as a non-recycled alloy.” That is the Foundation’s account of Panerai’s material claim; the cited sources do not establish independent testing.

The Foundation reports 89 g of recycled-based components in a 152.4 g watch, equivalent to 58.4% of its total weight. This is a weight share, not a lifecycle, emissions or overall environmental-impact score. The watch also came with a recycled PET strap; the Foundation additionally reports a second strap and a storage box made from recycled material.
