What Ultra-Cermet means on this watch
Parmigiani describes Ultra-Cermet as a cermet material with approximately 1450 HV hardness and says it resists abrasion and surface wear. The brand says the 42.5 mm case, fluted bezel, crown, chronograph pushers, and pin buckle share this construction. It also says the material is difficult to machine, requiring diamond tooling, controlled production cycles, and precise assembly tolerances.
Those are manufacturer claims, not independent comparative test results. The published figure does not establish how the watch will fare against particular impacts, scratches, or long-term wear, so it should not be read as a promise that the case cannot scratch or chip. Parmigiani describes the strap as multilayer rubber with a textile-like surface, a structural intermediate layer, and a tear-resistant membrane.

The manufacturer’s collection page lists three Ultra-Cermet chronograph color variants: Mineral Blue, London Grey, and Milano Blue. Mineral Blue is the variant identified as a 2026 novelty on its product page. Their names identify distinct editions; do not assume the Mineral Blue price or every specification applies to the other two without checking their individual listings.
The collection also includes separate steel and rose-gold Tonda PF Sport Chronograph alternatives. Those are different case-material versions, not Ultra-Cermet colors. Verify their individual product pages before comparing prices or specifications.
