The Patek Philippe Ref. 5373P-001 is a platinum split-seconds monopusher chronograph with a perpetual calendar, configured for left-handed wear. Its crown, pushers and displays are reversed from the Ref. 5372 that inspired it: the crown sits at 9 o’clock, with the split-seconds pusher at 8 o’clock. The unusual layout is more than a visual distinction—it changes how the chronograph is operated and read on the wrist.
What “destro” means on the 5373P-001
“Destro” describes a watch laid out for wear on the right wrist, with its controls positioned for access by the wearer’s left hand. On the 5373P-001, Patek Philippe places the crown and chronograph controls on the left side of the case rather than the more familiar right. The brand says the model is produced in small series for left-handers and describes its controls and counters as unusually arranged. That is the manufacturer’s description; the company does not state a production total in the cited model information.
The design is based on Ref. 5372, but Patek Philippe says the crown, pushers and displays have been inverted for left-handers. The result is a different control position and dial layout, not simply a conventional chronograph worn upside down.
On the 5373P-001, the crown is at 9 o’clock and incorporates the monopusher for the chronograph. The separate pusher at 8 o’clock controls the split-seconds hand. The dial is charcoal gray with a black-gradient rim and vertical satin finish, gold applied numerals, white-gold hands and red chronograph hands.

How the split-seconds monopusher chronograph works
A monopusher chronograph uses one control to start, stop and reset the chronograph rather than separate buttons for each action. On this model, that control is integrated into the crown at 9 o’clock. A second pusher at 8 o’clock operates the split-seconds function.
A split-seconds chronograph has two central timing hands. They start together; pressing the split-seconds control stops one hand to record an intermediate time while the other continues timing. Pressing it again brings the stopped hand back to the moving hand. This lets the wearer record a split or compare two elapsed times within a single timing sequence. The watch also has a 60-minute counter.

- Record a split: Press the pusher at 8 o’clock to stop the split-seconds hand while the other chronograph hand continues.
- Resume together: Press the split-seconds pusher again to reunite the stopped hand with the moving one.
- Stop and reset: Use the crown’s monopusher to stop and reset the chronograph.
The precise behavior above follows Patek Philippe’s stated control functions; it is not a report of hands-on operation.
What the perpetual calendar displays
The calendar combines a hand-indicated date with apertures for the day, month, leap-year cycle and day/night indication. Moon phases are also displayed. A perpetual calendar is designed to account for the varying lengths of months and the leap-year cycle, reducing the routine calendar corrections a simpler date display would need. Patek Philippe’s specifications identify the indications but do not provide operating instructions or a correction procedure for this model.

The central hands show hours and minutes, and a separate small-seconds display tracks the movement’s running seconds.

Patek Philippe calls the 7.3 mm CHR 27-525 PS Q its thinnest split-seconds chronograph and perpetual-calendar movement. That is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent comparison across the industry. The movement figures above, including its 38–48-hour reserve with the chronograph disengaged, are listed in Patek Philippe’s 2022 technical release.

How it fits into Patek Philippe’s chronograph range
The brand’s chronograph overview also names the rose-gold Ref. 5370R as a split-seconds chronograph, and the white-gold Ref. 5308G as a self-winding quadruple complication combining a minute repeater, split-seconds chronograph and instantaneous perpetual calendar. Those models illustrate different material and complication choices, but Patek Philippe’s overview does not present them as direct substitutes for the left-handed 5373P-001.

Patek Philippe describes the 5373P-001 as a small-series model, but its reviewed official materials do not give a production count or establish that it is a numbered limited edition. The brand’s current model page displayed a price of $675,191 when checked on October 8, 2026. That is a time-sensitive figure shown by the manufacturer, not a confirmed transaction price, evidence of current stock or a guarantee of availability in any market.
