The official product page lists it for $199, with new orders shipping in December; Pebble also warns that launch features, delivery timing, and long-term reliability may involve uncertainty.
What changed from the Pebble Time Round?
The original Pebble Time Round, launched in 2015, stood out for its thin, traditional-watch styling. Its large bezel limited the visible display, and TechCrunch reported battery life of about two days. Round 2 targets those drawbacks, though there is no controlled head-to-head test in the available research.

Why the buttons still matter
Round 2 combines four physical buttons with a touchscreen. Buttons provide an alternative to touch input, while the screen supports a more contemporary interaction style. Pebble positions the watch around glanceable notifications, watch faces, and apps rather than a dense, full-featured smartwatch experience.
Health tracking and phone trade-offs
Pebble lists step and sleep tracking, but Round 2 has no heart-rate sensor and is not intended as a fitness or sports watch. It is a poor fit for buyers who need heart-rate data, serious training metrics, or a comprehensive health platform.
The watch has a microphone but no speaker. Notification-reply behavior also depends on the phone and software. TechCrunch reported at announcement that message replies were Android-only, with EU iOS support forthcoming; the current official product page does not provide a complete phone- and region-specific compatibility matrix. Do not assume that every reply feature works on every phone.

Design, colors, and band sizes
Pebble offers stainless-steel Round 2 variants in these combinations:
- Matte black: 20 mm band.
- Brushed silver: 14 mm or 20 mm band.
- Polished rose gold: 14 mm band.
The watch includes a silicone band and charger. Bands use quick-release fittings, but the replacement must match the watch’s width. Before buying a 14 mm quick-release watch band or a 20 mm quick-release watch band, check which width your finish takes.
PebbleOS and app compatibility
Pebble describes PebbleOS as open source. TechCrunch reports support for Pebble apps and watch faces, but developers may need to update apps for the round display. The available research does not establish that every legacy app will work perfectly, so treat compatibility as something to verify rather than assume.

Shipping status and buying risks
Early launch coverage anticipated May shipping, but that schedule has been superseded. As of October 7, 2026, Pebble’s official product page lists new orders as shipping in December.
Pebble cautions that some features may not be ready at launch and that delays, software rough edges, breakage, or shorter-than-expected longevity are possible. These are manufacturer warnings, not evidence that a particular watch will fail. The available research includes no hands-on review, independent battery test, or post-launch reliability data.
Who should buy Pebble Round 2?
Round 2 may suit readers who want a round, relatively slim watch with an e-paper display, physical buttons, notifications, customization, and a long stated interval between charges. It is a poor fit for readers who require heart-rate tracking, sports features, a speaker, or Apple Watch-level iOS integration and polish.
