The Peren Regia Automatic 39 is a Swiss-made, 200m water-resistant dive watch with a 39mm steel case and Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. Its compact dimensions, symmetrical date-at-12 dial, and relatively straightforward diver bezel set it apart from the dual-time Regia X. Peren’s product page currently marks the Regia sold out, so its listed price is not a confirmed offer to buy today.
What the Peren Regia Automatic 39 is
Peren describes the Regia as a limited run of 300 individually numbered watches, inspired by the Sarmizegetusa Regia calendar in Transylvania. The brand’s July 2023 launch article presents it as a hand-built Swiss watch; its current product listing details a stainless-steel case with bead-blasted and hand-polished finishing, an aluminum bezel insert, and a black embossed dial. Peren’s Regia 2.0 launch article and the official Regia listing describe the design and specification.
The Regia is the dive-focused version in the collection. It has a unidirectional 120-click bezel with a 60-minute elapsed-time scale, a screw-down crown, and 200m/660ft stated water resistance. The flat sapphire crystal has three anti-reflective layers, and the dial’s BGW9 Super-LumiNova is intended to improve legibility in low light. The watch is listed with a two-year international warranty.
How it wears on paper—and what hands-on reviews report
The case measures 39mm across, 12.8mm thick, and 45.3mm from lug to lug. Those numbers suggest a relatively compact footprint for a modern diver, but fit also depends on wrist shape, strap, and personal preference. Monochrome called the dimensions modest and said the watch did not overwhelm the wrist; Fratello reported wearing it for two weeks and found the size modest and suitable for a variety of wrists. Those are reviewers’ impressions, not a guarantee of fit for every wearer. See the Monochrome hands-on and Fratello hands-on.

The dial places the date at 12 o’clock, maintaining visual symmetry and echoing the calendar inspiration. The trade-off is functional: Monochrome and Fratello note that the hands obscure the date briefly as it changes around midnight. If you routinely check the date late at night, that placement is worth considering.
Movement and everyday functions
Peren specifies a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement regulated by the brand, with 26 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 A/h, and a stated 38-hour power reserve. It drives the hours, minutes, hacking seconds, and date. Monochrome reports the same movement family, frequency, reserve, and functions. The elapsed-time bezel is operated independently by the wearer; it is not an extra movement complication.

Regia vs. Regia X: the key difference is the bezel
| Feature | Regia Automatic 39 | Regia X |
|---|---|---|
| Primary bezel use | 60-minute elapsed-time diver scale | Outer 12-hour scale for tracking another time zone, plus an inner 60-minute elapsed-time scale |
| Movement and case architecture | Sellita SW200-1; shared main case and movement architecture, as reported by Fratello | Same main case and movement architecture, as reported by Fratello; the added time-zone function comes from reading the bezel scale |
| Water resistance | 200m, according to Peren and Monochrome | 200m, according to Monochrome |
The Regia X’s 12-hour bezel can be used to track a second time zone alongside the elapsed-minute scale, but it does not turn the SW200-1 into a GMT movement. The distinction is a practical bezel-reading option, not a different movement complication. Monochrome describes the scale layout, while Fratello explains the Regia X’s dual-time use and shared architecture.
Strap and bracelet options
Peren’s listing and Monochrome document 20mm FKM rubber, fabric, and steel bracelet configurations. Fratello’s two-week hands-on sample was on the fabric strap, which the reviewer described as thin. That observation applies to the reviewed strap, not necessarily the feel of the other configurations. If buying a replacement 20mm FKM strap, confirm the exact listing’s lug-width and attachment compatibility before ordering.

Is the Peren Regia still available new?
At the time reflected by Peren’s official listing, the Regia is marked “Sold Out,” with an option to register interest. The page displays CHF 695, but the sold-out status means that amount should not be treated as a confirmed current purchase offer. The listing does not establish a restock date or secondary-market value.
Prices quoted around the 2023 launch were different and depended on timing and configuration. Monochrome reported CHF 693 for preorder, CHF 793 with a steel bracelet during preorder, and CHF 963 at standard retail. Fratello reported CHF 693 on FKM or fabric for preorder and CHF 793 on bracelet, followed by later retail prices of CHF 963 on strap and CHF 999 on bracelet. These are historical reports, not current offers; the accounts differ slightly on preorder pricing.
