What is the Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Brown & Leather?
It is a 1919 Collection automatic chronograph introduced by Porsche Design in 2018. The Brown & Leather version pairs a black dial with brown accents and a brown calfskin strap. Porsche Design describes the leather as drawn from Porsche vehicle interior materials and the design as inspired by the Porsche 911’s purist styling; these are the manufacturer’s design descriptions.
The official 2019–2020 catalogue identifies this specific colorway as reference 6023.6.04.004.07.2 and EAN 4046901809379. The reference matters because the collection also includes other dial and strap colors, as well as 1919 Chronotimer models without the flyback function.

The official shop describes the winding system as automatic, rotor-driven and energy-optimized. The case’s 10-bar rating is the published water-resistance specification; it should not be read as a claim that every watch remains water-resistant regardless of age, condition or maintenance.
What does the flyback function do?
A flyback chronograph lets the wearer reset and restart the running chronograph in one operation. That is useful for timing successive intervals—such as consecutive track laps—without separately stopping, resetting and starting the chronograph each time. Porsche Design highlighted lap timing as an intended use; this does not amount to an independent racetrack test of the watch.

Is the 1919 Chronotimer Flyback COSC certified?
Yes. Porsche Design describes the WERK 01.200 in this watch as COSC-certified. The certification is a movement credential; the available manufacturer specifications do not establish an independent accuracy result for any particular pre-owned example.
How much did it cost new?
At launch in 2018, Porsche Design announced a US recommended retail price of US$6,350, with availability from September that year through Porsche Design stores, specialist retailers and the brand’s online shop. A separate German-language launch announcement gave a German-market RRP of €5,950. These are different historical launch prices for different markets, not current asking prices or valuations.

Is it still available?
Porsche Design’s official US shop page listed the model as sold out when checked for the product information summarized here. That page status does not establish that no new-old-stock or pre-owned examples are available elsewhere, and availability can change. Check the exact listing and seller directly rather than treating the original retail price as today’s market value.

Use the reference number as well as the model name. The 2019–2020 catalogue lists Brown & Leather as 6023.6.04.004.07.2 and Black & Leather as 6023.6.04.005.07.2. Porsche Design’s March 2020 release introduced a blue leather variant after the Brown & Leather model’s 2018 debut. A similar-looking 1919 Chronotimer without “Flyback” is not the same configuration.

When assessing a listing, verify the reference, dial and strap color, and that the watch is the flyback version. Also compare condition, box and papers, service history, seller location and asking price. The manufacturer specifications identify the watch, but they do not establish a current secondary-market value or rank sellers.
