How does the flyback chronograph work?
A flyback chronograph lets the wearer stop, reset and restart the chronograph in one operation. That makes it useful for timing successive intervals without separately stopping, resetting and starting the timer each time. Porsche said the Werk 01.200 calibre was developed over three years and has an official COSC certificate. In its June 30, 2017 release, Porsche explained: “start, stop and reset are combined in a single operation – with the stopwatch running, it is even easier to measure successive time intervals.” Porsche’s announcement supplies the movement and certification details; the wording also appears in its official press-release PDF.
