Porsche Design introduced matching chronographs for the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring in an announcement dated 18 October 2024. The watches pair a COSC-certified Porsche Design WERK 01.200 flyback movement with titanium cases and details drawn from each car’s configuration. Porsche describes them as exclusive to owners of the corresponding vehicles—not as generally available watches for anyone to order.
What is the Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT3?
It is a vehicle-linked chronograph developed alongside the 2024 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring. Porsche says each watch can be configured to correspond to its owner’s car, with the dial ring available in the vehicle’s exterior color, including Paint to Sample colors, and the strap made from original Porsche interior leather with thread matched to the vehicle configuration. The announcement does not establish a current watch price or a watch-only ordering route.
Movement and case
Porsche specifies its WERK 01.200 movement, which it describes as COSC-certified and equipped with a flyback function. The case is ultra-lightweight titanium, with a black titanium carbide coating available as an option. Flyback chronographs allow the timing hand to be reset and restarted in one operation, useful for timing successive intervals.
Design drawn from the car
The dial uses yellow accents and a hexagonal structure inspired by the car’s instrument panel. Porsche says the winding rotor takes its design from GT3 wheels. Along with the color-matched dial ring and vehicle-matched strap, these details make the watch’s specification dependent on the associated car rather than a generic GT3-themed colorway.

What is different about the 911 GT3 Touring chronograph?
The central distinction is the car each chronograph corresponds to; Porsche’s announcement describes the same core movement and material concept for both watches. The Touring Package is a more understated version of the GT3: it omits the fixed rear wing and instead has an extendable rear spoiler. Porsche says the Touring designation traces to an equipment variant of the 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and has been part of the GT3 program since 2017.

Who can buy the Porsche Design GT3 watch?
Porsche described the chronographs as exclusive to owners of the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring. That owner limitation is important: the announcement does not present them as unrestricted retail models or explain a separate watch-only purchase process. It also does not confirm present-day availability in any country. Its statement that the watches could be ordered from the end of 2024 was launch-era information, not evidence that ordering remains open.

What else did Porsche announce about the 2024 GT3?
The watch launch accompanied the updated cars, whose specifications help explain the design connection but should not be mistaken for watch specifications. Porsche AG reported 375 kW (510 PS) and 450 Nm, and a lightest-configuration weight of 1,420 kg. It said the final drive ratio was eight percent shorter than the predecessor. Porsche’s reported acceleration and top-speed figures were 3.4 seconds to 100 km/h and 311 km/h with PDK, or 3.9 seconds and 313 km/h with manual transmission.
Porsche also listed combined WLTP fuel consumption of 13.8–13.7 l/100 km and combined CO₂ emissions of 312–310 g/km for the GT3 and Touring Package. These are the manufacturer’s WLTP figures, not real-world fuel-use results.

In the same 18 October 2024 announcement, Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister said the revised damper tuning helped the car remain steadier and handle bumps and kerbs better on track. Andreas Preuninger, Head of GT Cars, said the GT3 had been adapted with details and features intended to let customers tailor it more closely to their preferences or intended use. Those are Porsche representatives’ descriptions, rather than independent performance test findings.
