What is the gold Rado DiaStar Skeleton?
Rado lists the yellow-gold-coloured version as the DiaStar Original Automatic Skeleton, reference R12164153. The reference matters: Rado also lists a silver-toned skeleton variant, R12162153. The gold model’s bezel and bracelet have a gold-coloured finish; the watch is not described as being made from solid gold.

These are manufacturer-published specifications. Rado’s statement that the movement is tested in five positions is not an independent accuracy test or a guarantee of a particular daily rate.
Movement and skeleton design
The automatic R808 calibre supplies the watch’s 80-hour power reserve and uses a Nivachron hairspring, which Rado identifies in its specifications. The skeleton construction exposes the movement from the front, while the transparent sapphire caseback provides a view from the rear.

Rado describes the R808 variant in this watch as anthracite-grey coated, with contrasting elements in its workings. That is the manufacturer’s description of the appearance, not an independent assessment of finishing or performance.
