What makes the Russian Code 0276 unusual?
Most watches move their hands clockwise; the Russian Code runs the other way. Raketa presents that direction as the watch’s defining idea, connecting the dial’s motion with the counterclockwise movement the company associates with the planets. Its tagline is “A watch that ticks to the beat of the Universe.”
Raketa’s history page says the brand dates to 1961, a name and origin story it connects to Yuri Gagarin’s first manned spaceflight. The company also explains that “Raketa” means “Space Rocket” in Russian. This is the brand’s design narrative, rather than a claim that the watch displays astronomical time.
How does the 2615R make the hands run backward?
Raketa identifies the Russian Code’s caliber as the 2615R and says it reverses the hand direction by modifying two parts: the mainspring barrel and the escapement. That is the manufacturer’s explanation of the engineering; the available specifications do not provide further construction details.

These are manufacturer-published figures, not independent measurements of an individual 0276. The stated average rate is a specification, not a guarantee that every watch will gain or lose a particular amount each day.

How do you wind and set it?
AviatorTime’s listing says to wind the crown toward the wearer and adjust the time in the direction the hands travel—away from the wearer. Because that instruction comes from a retailer, follow the manual supplied with your own watch if its guidance differs.
What are the reported specifications of reference 0276?
AviatorTime identifies the watch as “Raketa Russian Code 276,” reference W-07-20-10-0276. The following physical details are reported by that retailer and should not be assumed to describe every Russian Code variant:

Is the 0276 still available, and what does it cost?
When accessed, AviatorTime’s listing showed the exact reference as out of stock and displayed a price of 79,000 Russian rubles. That is one retailer’s listing at the time it was accessed, not a current market-wide price or proof that the model is unavailable elsewhere.

The watch still has a dial and three hands, but their counterclockwise movement runs against the direction most people expect. That makes the movement itself the central point of the design. The available sources do not establish independent usability findings, so whether reading it feels intuitive will depend on the wearer rather than on a verified test.
