The Ressence TYPE 9 S75 pairs the brand’s moving ROCS display with a dial made from sand gathered in equal proportions from the dunes of all seven UAE emirates. Announced with retailer Ahmed Seddiqi in June 2025 for its 75th anniversary, the 20-piece edition turns the motion of its hour and minute discs into an hourglass-inspired tribute to the region.
What makes the TYPE 9 S75 distinctive?
Ressence and Ahmed Seddiqi announced the limited edition on 9 June 2025, with launch scheduled for 16 June. Ahmed Seddiqi, established in 1950, marked its 75th anniversary with a watch whose materials and display refer directly to the UAE landscape.
Sand from the dunes of all seven emirates was gathered in equal proportions and bonded onto the titanium hour and minute discs. As Ressence’s patented ROCS display turns, the sand-covered indications move across the domed dial. The result evokes both shifting dunes and the falling grains of an hourglass.
The hour subdial uses the numerals 7 and 5 as an anniversary reference, as reported by Waqt. The camel-leather strap adds another regional material reference. Ressence founder Benoît Mintiens described the concept as bringing together the hourglass, a dune-like organic dial dome and sand from all seven emirates in a contemporary 39 mm watch.

At launch, Waqt reported that the TYPE 9 S75 was exclusive to Ahmed Seddiqi boutiques in the UAE. Current stock has not been verified, so prospective buyers should contact Ahmed Seddiqi or Ressence rather than assume the limited edition remains available.
