What movement is in the L.U.C XPS Forest Green?
Chopard fits its self-winding L.U.C 96.12-L, a COSC-certified chronometer movement. It runs at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), has approximately 65 hours of power reserve, and measures 3.30 mm thick. Chopard lists 172 parts and 29 jewels. Its functions are hours, minutes, small seconds, and stop seconds.
The movement uses Chopard’s Twin technology, with two coaxial barrels, and is wound by a 22-carat gold micro-rotor. As Chopard puts it, “This movement is wound by a micro-rotor in 22-carat gold.” The transparent caseback makes that architecture visible, giving the watch a mechanical focal point on the reverse as well as a clean dial on the front. What strap does it come on?
The watch is supplied on a brown calfskin strap with a stainless-steel pin buckle. The brown strap offers a warmer, less formal contrast to the green dial and steel case than a black strap would; changing straps may alter the character, but the documented factory configuration is brown calfskin.
