The Richard Mille RM 11-01 Roberto Mancini is a football-match chronograph whose dial and flyback function are designed around the game’s periods: two 45-minute halves, stoppage time and extra time. Richard Mille dates the model to 2013 and identifies its movement as calibre RMAC1. Frank Geelen’s 2014 Monochrome article provides the hands-on photography and detailed specifications below; this is a historical account, not a claim of personal handling.
How the RM 11-01 tracks a football match
Rather than treating the chronograph as a generic elapsed-time counter, the RM 11-01 lays out its timing around the structure of a match. Richard Mille says the display is intended to follow two 45-minute halves and up to 15 minutes of stoppage time. The design was developed with Roberto Mancini, who wanted a technical instrument for following matches, particularly extra time.
From the first half to the second
The flyback chronograph’s central hand tracks the period in play. At the end of the first half, pressing the pusher at 4 o’clock flies the hand back to 12 o’clock, ready to time the second half without a separate stop-and-reset sequence. The official description presents this as the transition from one 45-minute period to the next.
Stoppage time and extra time
The dial’s period-based layout accommodates stoppage time after the regular halves. Richard Mille also says the flyback can be activated again for extra time, displaying 15 minutes of additional play and up to five minutes of stoppage time. Monochrome’s 2014 account likewise describes using the chronograph for the match’s halves and extra time.

Movement and other displays
Richard Mille identifies the automatic, skeletonised movement as calibre RMAC1. Alongside the match-timing flyback chronograph and its central minutes counter, the official specification lists hours, minutes, seconds, an oversized date, month indication, annual calendar and variable-geometry rotor. Monochrome adds that the annual calendar adjusts automatically for months of 30 or 31 days.
The open movement makes the mechanism part of the watch’s visual character, while the match-period dial gives the chronograph a specific job. Monochrome’s article lists two mainspring barrels, 68 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and a 50-hour power reserve. Those movement figures are from its 2014 specification list; they are not reproduced on Richard Mille’s current historical-model page.
