Which watches are being compared?
The Datejust and Tsuyosa are collections, not single specifications. This comparison uses the Rolex Datejust 36 reference 126200 and the Citizen TSUYOSA NJ0150-56Z, the specific US-market references described on their respective product pages. Do not assume every Datejust or Tsuyosa shares these dimensions, finishes, or movement details. Citizen also lists 37 mm Tsuyosa models and the TSUYOSA 60 in its collection.

What movements and performance figures do they publish?
Datejust: calibre 3235
Rolex identifies the reference 126200 as using its manufacture calibre 3235, a self-winding mechanical movement. The brand states approximately 70 hours of power reserve and precision of −2/+2 seconds per day after casing, and identifies the watch as a Superlative Chronometer. These are Rolex’s published specifications, not independent test results.
Tsuyosa: calibre 8210
Citizen’s US product page lists automatic calibre 8210 and a 42-hour power reserve for NJ0150-56Z. A separate Citizen Europe page for the NJ0150 series gives approximately 40 hours and a rate accuracy of ±20 seconds per day. These are figures from different regional pages; for the specific US reference in this comparison, the US page’s 42-hour reserve is the relevant published figure. The series-level accuracy statement should not be treated as an independent measurement of an individual watch.

Is the Citizen Tsuyosa worth it compared with a Rolex Datejust?
That depends on what the buyer values. The Tsuyosa provides an automatic movement, date display, and sapphire crystal at a far lower listed price in this specific US-page comparison. The Datejust offers a smaller 36 mm case, 100 m water resistance, a stated 70-hour reserve, and Rolex’s published −2/+2 seconds-per-day-after-casing precision figure. Their dial colors, bezel treatment, and bracelet designs also differ, so the choice is not simply a question of movement specifications.
