How the configurations differ
The Everose-gold reference page also lists calibre 3255, approximately 70 hours of power reserve, 100 m water resistance, a President bracelet and Superlative Chronometer certification. - Metal: The cited examples include yellow gold and Everose gold.
- Dial: Rolex lists differing dial colors and finishes, including green and diamond-set black options in the yellow-gold examples.
- Bezel: The 228238 specification page describes a fluted bezel; other treatments, including gem-set options, are configuration-specific.
- Price: A displayed figure belongs to its particular reference and configuration, not the entire Day-Date 40 range.
There is no evidence here that one dial, metal or bezel is objectively better. The choice is a matter of the specific appearance and configuration a buyer wants.
