How does the annual calendar work?
The month is displayed through 12 apertures around the dial. The date appears at 3 o’clock under a Cyclops lens, and Rolex specifies an instantaneous annual date change and rapid date setting. The annual calendar accounts for months of different lengths, but it does not eliminate the yearly correction associated with February’s shorter length.

The documented difference is visual and tactile: the three-link Oyster has a broader, more continuous appearance, while the five-link Jubilee presents a more segmented pattern. The official pages do not establish a performance advantage for either bracelet or dial. Choose by preference for the dial tone and bracelet style rather than assuming one configuration is technically superior.
